We arrived at this Bodegas to try some wines prior to our pre-booked tour at another one. It was really good to see a bodegas where there was a bar for sampling without booking but beware the opening hours! We just made it in at half past one on a Saturday afternoon. We tried a "flight" of five wines, which... More

Unlike most US wineries, the bodegas of Spain are a bit more formal. You need reservations to visit most of them and you have to participate in a tour of the facility before having the opportunity to taste. However; there are a hand full of bodegas that have tasting rooms. Bodegas Muga is one of them. They start tasting at... More

Was our first wine tour in Spain, have been to Napa and Sonoma, so was nice to see a little different tour. Tour was in English and educational. Enjoyed seeing how the barrels are made. Wine was delicious.

Came here for wine tasting flight as all the english tours were at 10 am and we couldnt juggle the other wine visits....as they have a wine bar we figured wouldnt matter to miss the wine tour and just come in for wine tasting which in end was just fine. The wine is great Rioja wine and the staff friendly... More

Fantastic! Not just the bodegas, which are really nice and the tour, which is very informative, but the wines. With the price of the tour, 10 euros, you get to taste two wines but if you have the time go for the wine tasting which offers the upper level wines, some are truly remarkable wines. You can also buy and... More

Sounds weird thing to say that the Bodegas was too commercial compared to others but this Bodegas felt the odd one out when it came to wine tasting across the various Bodegas. We chose the 5 wines to taste, we were given very good notes/cards to read that explained the wines on offer and then we were left alone to... More

I liked that Muga was one of the few bodegas in La Rioja that has a wine-bar so you can taste their wines without needing to pre-arrange a visit/tour. You can try five of their wines for a very reasonable price. However, I was disappointed by how transactional the experience felt and I got very little explanation about the wines... More

After reading previous reviews I chose this wine tour for our Haro visit. It was a lovely surprise to receive a glass at the end to take home but was a bit surprise when purchasing a bottle of wine that we were charged extra for small amounts of extra tasting, (you receive two samples as part of the tour). The... More

The closest you will get to a Napa winery tour. Very large groups, and through the whole tour we were told how great their special blends are only to be given a very basic white and red for our tasting. If you wanted to taste the special wines you paid extra. We did get to keep our glasses and they... More
