We thoroughly enjoyed our bodega tour and wine-tasting at Muga. I booked by email and was impressed by the prompt response. Our Spanish guide spoke great English and we were lucky to be in a small group with one other couple. The winery still uses traditional methods, including making their own French oak wine barrels under the watchful eye of... More

Went to Muga while traveling in Spain, the wines are great and the food was also great. We love the reds and took a tour of the winery to see them make wines the old fashion way.

One of the larger Bodegas in the region, our tour of Muga was very comprehensive. It is one of the few (possibly only) bodegas in Rioja that has an onsite cooperage, and it was really interesting to see another aspect of the wine-making process. Wines offered for tasting were of great quality and you even get to take your glass... More

Another Bodegas open to the public on a special wine festival weekend (19th). All I can say is that you will find lovely Rioja all around the train station, where these Bodegas are housed. A day to celebrate.

We visited Bodegas Muga during a day in the Haro region. They staff was very friendly and helpful and the wines were good. Our server took the time to explain each wine we tasted, making for a good experience. Muga is next to 2-3 other wineries, which makes it easy to try other wines and compare.

We drove a bit out of our way to visit Muga on our scenic drive from Pamplona to Madrid, with excitement about tasting / experiencing Muga wines, with plans to purchase.
