Opposite the South Bastion is a small cemetery, where sailors from the Battle of Trafalgar are laid to rest. Very well looked after and interesting to read the stones.Nelson's body passed through Gib in a full Brandy Barrel on his way to England.

Beautifully maintained. We visited in Jan and some of the cemetery was under going work. Very peaceful. Where those injured and subsequently died are buried from the great battle of Trafalgar. We spent over an hour in this small cemetery reading the inscriptions.

Pretty and a nice walk-round. Interesting that, despite the name, only three people died in battle - everyone else died from the three bouts of yellow fever which hit The Rock

This cemetery tucked away at the south end of Main Street is a lovely place for a quiet stroll and also a great place if you have time to read the information and study the tombstones and contemplate the history represented here.

This cemetery is near the Cable Car Station so stopped off on the way back to town and Main Street for a look. There are notices at the entrance explaining what to look for as this is a date in history that I remember from my school history lessons - 1812! Well worth a visit.

Free and takes around 15 minutes to explore. The history is amazing and worth a visit to just walk around.

This is a small cemetary in a strange setting. It is at the end or beginning of main street depending which way you are travelling. There are many historic tombstones that really need to be studied to understand what happened in Gibraltar over the years. The cemetary is always kept clean and tidy unlike some that we see in the...
