this cemetery is a small plot, just outside the old city wall, at the end of Main Street. It is having a bit of work done to it, mainly on the walls. It is not large and can be done in15 mins or so. The gardens themselves are quite pretty however a lot of the gravestones are really eroded. It... More

Seemed very tranquil even though it was next to a busy road. Well laid out with information signs explain which graves belonged to who. Worth spending twenty minutes or so going round just to see the writing on some of the plaques.

We Brits should be so proud to have such historic contacts with 'The Rock' - & all it has to offer, this must visit landmark would make a superb sobering historic school/adult venue.

found the place by accident but full of history reading the headstones is an eye opener place could do with a tidy up only a 5 min walk from cable car station on main road

Opposite the South Bastion is a small cemetery, where sailors from the Battle of Trafalgar are laid to rest. Very well looked after and interesting to read the stones.Nelson's body passed through Gib in a full Brandy Barrel on his way to England.

Beautifully maintained. We visited in Jan and some of the cemetery was under going work. Very peaceful. Where those injured and subsequently died are buried from the great battle of Trafalgar. We spent over an hour in this small cemetery reading the inscriptions.

Pretty and a nice walk-round. Interesting that, despite the name, only three people died in battle - everyone else died from the three bouts of yellow fever which hit The Rock
