This is a hidden gem and a national treasure. Ok, first, if you are of the Jeremy Kyle ilk or xbox generation walking around a graveyard may not be your thing. If you have an interest in things and an enquiring mind then maybe it is. Not all graves are from trafalgar but some are. Even the ones that aren't... More

We all enjoyed looking at the engravings on the tombstones here in this very well kept up cemetary. You can see it while walking to the cable cars to take you to the top of the summit. You'll see an outdoor pay toilet, too. Kids thought that was amazing! Learn more at www.theeducationaltourist.com

we passed by the cemetery while walking around the town. It was fun to read the names and see who was there.

The history of this area is interesting. Well worth the effort especially if you intend walking up the rock, it's on the way. However, the bus service is so inexpensive and will drop you off nearby. Worth a look!

A nice picturesque little cemetery near the cable car and botanical gardens - worth popping in as you pass by. Unfortunately some repairs were being carried out (probably in time for the tourist season!) so some parts were obscured, however very neat and tidy. Say hello to the resident cat who appeared to always be sleeping near one of the... More

Small but interesting cemetery worth a short wander round if you are walking past to have a look at the old headstones. Close to a taxi stand where you can pick up tours of Gibraltar.

Quite a few Apes here but was disappointed to here that there is actually only 2 people from the battle of Trafalgar actually buried there. Did not find this very interesting. However, there is a bus stop just outside to take you into the market place.

The headstones that you could actually make out made for sad reading, but restful. Apart from apes nearby!

This little cemetery was a surprise, it's full of ancient but clearly marked graves of early English settlers and military personnel from the 18th century. The cemetery is also popular with the Gibraltar monkey's due to berry trees there, and they frequently can be seen in the cemetery and nearby street.

A small and neat cemetery but with a lot of historical interest. For any history fans, well worth a detour from the busy main street.
