Situated just outside the Southport Gate leading from Main Street is this well laid out small cemetery which is in a good state of repair thanks to the efforts of the local Heritage Trust. It was the place where burials took place between 1798 and 1814. Several headstones tell tales of past sea battles as well as death from disease.... more
