A very busy shopping area with bars and cafes. There are several well known UK High Street shops here including Marks and Spencer's and BHS, but these are relatively small. It's a good place to purchase Duty Free spirits in £ sterling, particularly if you are visiting by ship.

Not old (certainly not medieval) and loaded with souvenir, liquor, jewelry, bars, and clothing shops there is really little for which to recommend visiting. Other than it's the most convenient way to get between the Casements and the cable car and the few interesting points in between. As they say, nothing to see here, move along. (I must admit, however,... More

A great place to wander and gaze in shop windows, such a variety of goods, places to have a drink and just watch the World go by, local and tourist.

This is the centre of Gibraltar. Lots of shops and always busy. If you are Looking for jewellery, electronics, cigs or booze this is the place for you. You will find all your standard brands here. You need to ask for the price as usually lower than what is on the price tag. When the ships are in it becomes... More

I heard 80% of Brits dream of moving somewhere warm and Sunny. When I saw Main Street I realized its possible to keep the British atmosphere and get that warm/sunny too. Authentic stores and pubs, Marks and Spencer still warm this day in November. I told the tour guide everything looked packed out and he showed me some new construction... More

Most visitors want the best prices on their alcohol, perfumes etc. it's all here. Unbelievable prices on spirits, (some half the price on a cruise ship, or in a Spanish resort). There's a nice atmosphere in the town. Shopkeepers are friendly. Goods available......many. Would suggest everyone spend a little time, and money here.

The high street has a lovely atmosphere but the shops are repetative and not cheap. The only good buys are cigs and alcohol if you are a user of them.Everything else you can get far cheaper in the UK and thats saying something. Its also deception that Gibraltar is British. It might appear to be but there are far more Spaniards there than... You can walk the length of Gibraltar's Main Street in 20 minutes at an easy pace. The best shopping is in the Northern part (starting at Casemates Square). There's a wide selection of luxury goods to suit all tastes. Don't bother to check prices between shops, as there's widespread price-fixing, although they're not exorbitant. Never pay in Euros, as the... More

Take you time to walk up Main Street Gibraltar from Casemates Square. You will find plenty of shops not just jewellers and booze shops along with eateries and places of interest. Do visit the tourist information centre in Casemates Sq which will give info on places of interest along the way and just off Main Street. Venture off to the... More

Bit disappointed as the shops were very repetitive but it was very busy so perhaps that didn't help. Easy to walk along and lots of seats to rest on when retail therapy gets too much!
