Years ago Gibraltar Main Street was renowned for its bargains, but with on-line shopping you will be hard-pressed to find the best deals now. There are still a huge number of duty free shops. However, there is also a range of UK high street shops to be found so that is quite handy for those of us living in southern... More

Disappointed overall. Everything is dirty and covered in a layer or dirt, dust or bird droppings (principally seagulls I think, of which there are myriad). Main St.mGib. appears, for the most part, to close on a Saturday at about 1700. Had an eye on a Moroccan Restaurant for a Lamb Tagine which we saved for Saturday night. Arrived there at... More

This is the place to get a bargain. Don't bother buying in Duty Free at the Airport as this place is cheaper. The Main Street can be very busy.

First day we visited there were 2 cruise ships in and it was heaving! Next couple of times it was much better, plenty of English shops, very good for Perfume and Jewellery. Lots of very English old pubs. Loved it!

An area full of small shops selling cigarettes, booze and cheap leather items. Numerous bars and restaurants are located in the same area. Not Gibraltar at it's finest!

Cool to indulge in this very busy pedestrian street. Great for shopping / Duty free. Many shops and a bit of retro English only add to the intrinsic charm of this street. A tip: leave your car in a parking lot before the border and take the bus!

Shops, pubs, restaurants and street performers. It gets VERY crowded and hot so take your time and have a few drinks along the way. Bottles of alcohol are the cheapest we have ever seen, for example a 1 litre bottle of Smirnoff was £5.95.

Been here before. Most shops offer items at a price higher than you can buy in the UK. Cigarettes and spirits are the exception, but as I buy neither, I do not avail myself of such bargains. Don't bother !

On a visit from Portugal, we arrived and parked the car in a multi storey car park and walked through to the high street. Hundreds of shops selling everything, but extremely over priced and so therefore not worth it. The only items that are cheap are booze and fags ! We shopped at Morrison's which was great.
