The Main Street is full of shops and restaurants and of course lot of tourists. Unfornately the restaurant prices are more expensive than in Spain!

The place to be from mid morning till early afternoon. A great variety of shops from perfume, watches, electronics and cameras plus shops like Mango, Peacocks, M & S , BHS. There are a number of cafes where you can have breakfast or get a drink and people watch, alternatively there are some nice pubs serving British and international beers... More

This is a busy street. Quite hard to traverse in a wheelchair as there are no gutters but a sharp drop on one side of each pavement, so easy to twist an ankle if you aren't careful. Very lively atmosphere. Lots of English shops such as M&S and BHS. Jewelry, camera and gift shops galore. Think you could find most... More

Not really that different from many other slightly narrow portside main streets. Full of duty free shops selling booze (very cheap), watches, jewellery, electronics etc. The Brit style post boxes make it feel slightly more homely. A couple of squares and two cathedrals part way down. It is the main pedestrian area in Gib so difficult to avoid!

Main street itself is a nice walk with no traffic, can be crowded if a ship is in but Gib needs tourism. The worst development over the years has been death of the VAT free bargain. Now you get told its VAT free but for some strange reason its out of date and more expensive than anywhere else in the... More
