We have travelled to Gibraltar a few times now, whilst cruising, and always visit the main street particularly the jewellery shops which are amazing. Try Essardas on main street, we have met Jennifer a few times and she remembers us from years previously. No matter where we go on the island the people are generous and kind, pleasant and happy... This is a happening Street! Full of shops selling clothes, food, souvenirs and so on. Part of it has traffic passing through, but the pedestrianised part is a lot calmer. Lovely place to be.

This is the high street. This is where you get cheap alcohol...£8.50 for a litre of gin. Also cheap perfumes a nd cosmetics you get an extra 10% off when there is a cruise ship in. Some good shops and some cheapy ones

It seemed to go on and on, there were hundreds of shops. The shop keepers were very helpful. In some of the jewellers at times they seemed a little pushy

You have a wide selection for everyone. From english shops such as Marks and Spencer, British Home -stores, Mango, Peacocks etc to Tabacco/alcohol shops at duty free prices. Little lace tabblecloth.bedlinen shops, jewelry shops where diamonds are certainly a girls best friend. And some wonderful places to stop for a bite to eat and a coffee. Well worth a visit.

Leaving Casemates Square, Main Street has an alluring range of shops for around two thirds of the mile or so walk uphill towards Trafalgar Cemetery. Most sell electricals, alcohol & tobacco, perfume or jewellery & watches, although there are a few clothes shops too. Although this is supposed to be a tax free zone, you need to have done your... A great shopping area for dining and relaxation but if you flew in then bye your duty free at the airport in the way home as it is if much cheaper that the so called '"duty free" shops in town! We also used the local buses to get around with a senior hop on/off ticket at just £1-20 a day,... More

A nice walk through the town. Loads of recognizable shops from home. Lots of places to eat as well. Hot tip. You do not need euros for Gibraltar, stick with the good old £

Many typical British shops such as Next or Marks & Spencer which are nice to shop in. But... Gibraltar is usually advertised as a duty-free paradise since it is VAT-free. So normally you would think shopping would be cheaper there but it isn't. Due to the fact that everything is VAT-free the prices are raised to the normal price and... More

A narrow walkable street busy with shoppers looking to pick up bargains at the many perfume shops and camera stores. Several outdoor cafes and pubs serving traditional British fare for those craving for fish & chips, shepherd's pie, steak & kidney pie etc. The large open plaza at the marina end is great for people watching.
