We thought of this place to be a more historic exhibit telling the history of pilgrimship but it was a modern building inside with a temporary music instrument and photography exhibition.

it was very cheap and there were some very nice computers one could you to find out more information about the church. Interesting but I think it is better to just go into the cathedral itself.

This is an interesting small museum, especially if you have just walked on the Camino. The entrance is free, the staff very helpful, and the information plentiful and in a number of languages.

The Museo das Perginacions (Museum of Pilgrimage) is an excellent place to find all the information about the pilgrimages along the Camino de Santiago. As a pilgrim it is a definite place to visit in Santiago de Compostela, as it contains a wealth of information about the history of the Camino and those who have walked it.

Nice unpretentious friendly museum. Many of the rooms have booklets in different languages to translate the various texts against the exhibits. A variety of exhibits from the life of the middle ages pilgrims to modern day pilgrimages worldwide

This museum was much better than I expected. Clearly laid out displays with notes in every language available. Likely better to visit on your own so that you can take time and look / read at your own speed. I now have a better understanding of the Camino and St. James and that's after walking there...... Very modern and efficient.... More

The old one is on Rua Miguel dos Agros near the north end of the old town, and the new one is near the Praca de Praterias next to the cathedral. Both are enjoyable, with a small but nicer collection in the old one, and beautiful modern architecture and displays in the new one.
