Go if you are in A Coruna but not worth a special trip

We went there by chance (since it was raining heavily) and we did not regret it. Amazing fishes can be seen there, I also liked the octopi and the jellyfish exhibits, but the icing of the cake was the Nautilus, a huge aquarium where you feel like you are at the helm of the Jules Verne submarine, with tons of... I will admit that after the main level and the outside pools I thought that was all the aquarium had and was disappointed. However when we made our way down to the underwater aquarium I was pleasantly surprised. The ambiance with music and tank with such a variety of species was great. For A Coruna it was a great outing... More

Aquarium is built on the waters edge near the rocks and looks rather plain from the outside. Inside it is surprisingly full of colour with beautifully presented exhibits and large tanks. A very helpful member of staff ensured we didn't miss the seal feeding session by translating the 'Spanish only' announcement into English. She also demonstrated interactive exhibits that were... Superb little aquarium. Lots of stuff to do and interact with and enough to keep both a 2 year old, a 14 year old and a 42 year old occupied for a good 3-4 hours

My family, two adults and two teenage boys visited here a few days ago. We went with our friends who have 4 children aged 2 to 16. Initially we were going to do the cruise ship tour of the aquarium but due to cost we decided to make our own way there. The ship was charging €40, the aquarium only... More

Some nice tanks, & decent exhibits etc. Main issue - if you don't speak Spanish, you're missing out on most of what this place has to offer. Some exhibits in English also, but only a few. And nothing for French/German/Italian etc speakers. This is a pity. If they want tourists from different countries to visit, and to learn + enjoy... More

This place does not look much from the outside but is a maze of rooms with displays and tanks , the biggest being down a longish corridor and steps to a huge tank with thousands of fish on display .

It is a nice aquarium and you can see lots of fishes from the Atlantic. It is very interesting and we just missed the octopus (too shy or afraid, probably). The fee for an adult is 10 euros per person.

There is a wide variety of sea life in the Aquarium, particularly considering the smaller size. While there is no English signage, we didn't find that to be a problem as we have a good app on our phone for translation. Loved the window where we could see the ropes hanging down encrusted with mussels and all the fish swimming... More
