My wife and I visited La Coruna on a Cruise. We didn't have a ton of time, but Castillo de San Anton was well worth the time.

The castle was built in 1587 to defend the city against attacks from the sea. When Francis Drake attacked the city in 1589 the castle was able to defend the entrance to the city.
