A charming structure, flanked on both sides by apartments and shopping zones. Everybody takes the same photograph(s) of the bridge and its surrounds. Walk across to the other side, no matter where you start. We strolled slowly, taking in the ambience, joggers, dog walkers; just generally being there. The other 10 bridges across the Onya River are utilitarian and missable.... More

But what a claim to fame! And we nearly missed it. Having walked our legs off on a short break in Girona with friends, we thought we'd walked over all of the excellent bridges on the delightful river Onyar. On our last night in our favourite eaterie (see review for restaurant L' Aztan) the patron mentioned this little gem. So... More

This bridge was engineered by the Eiffel - Eiffel Tower fame! It is one of many bridges across the Onya River and connects the old town to the new town. It is very close to the many shops along La Rambla.

The bridge takes you across the Ane river to the old part of the town. It is beautiful. Girona is a hidden gem and well worth a visit.

Fantastic, historically significant pedestrian bridge engineered by Gustave Eiffel (of the Parisian tower fame - 1889), opened in 1876 which offers a wonderful photographic prop through which one might photograph the Saint Felieu bell tower or the cathedral. At the end of the bridge (on the new side of the river) there is a fantastic glass design shop (on Taller... More

An interesting bridge build by the same builder as the Parisian Eiffel tower I like this bridge very much. And it's history it's interesting how much do you think it cost? At the end of the bridge there is a sign which explains the cost, etc. I recommend to go along this Girona's bridge :)

You cant miss this bridge in the middle of the town on the river. It gives you a great position to take some fantastic photos up and down the river.

It looks nice against the river. Had a guide to fill us in on the background to it. It's one of a few bridges across the river. It's nice as it's different to the rest.

Great little bridge linking the old town to the new. It overs a very scenic view up the river with an outlook onto the rear of all the homes/buildings overlooking the river. Great photo opportunities to be had here.

This bridge does look like it was designed by the same architect as the Eiffel tower. However, nothing in the city tells you this.
