If you are visiting Girona this is a spot you couldn't miss. There are thousands of pictures of this view, would you miss the opportunity to have your own? I really recommend you to pass through this bridge and see the view of Girona's Dom and city.

The Pont de Ferro: Also known as the Eiffel bridge, was certainly one of the highlights and a very striking structure in Girona. Of course we loved the old town and it's charm, cafes, museums, galleries, chic shops, but this is a must see, as it straddles both old town and new - bringing it all together. Girona has eleven... This was without a doubt one of the most amazing bridges that we have ever crossed. It's definitely a site to see, and one not to be missed when visiting Girona!

So, this was designed by Gustave Eiffel, the chap who didn't quite design the Eiffel Tower. (It was a structural engineer working for Eiffel called Maurice Koechlin who did the original design). It's a metal framework bridge which works perfectly well as a bridge and is good for taking photos from. But don't expect anything as spectacular as the French... More

Pictures don't do it justice, you have to be there to experience it and take fantastic pictures from the bridge and of the bridge.

Although it is not the most spectacular attraction it is definitely worth a visit. The red iron crosses, river below and colourful buildings behind you make for great photos.

Nothing to see here. It's designed by the same bloke that drew up the design of the tower but it's not a biggie. Go look at the old town instead. Beautiful buildings, narrow side streets lovely to stroll around.

Actually went over the bridge the first night we were in Girona without realising its significance. Only after reading Tripadvisor did we realise it's history. Impressive providence and you can see the similarity in design to the Eiffel Tower - however it's still just a small bridge... If you are a bridge enthusiast it will no doubt knock your socks... We've travelled through France to Spain by train and Gustaf Eiffel seems to be featuring a lot. There was the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Garabit viaduct and now this bridge in Girona ! The design, colour and materials used are similar go two afformentioned structures. It links two parts of Girona over a river. Other than that, nothing unique. The... More
