The river and her many bridges are very beautiful in the summer sun. A classical view one minute and then the drying washing from a myriad of people. Mooch and observe!

It's very beautiful river. Quiet and beautiful, colourful houses by the river. It's lovely to go. Stylish bridges.

Perhaps when the Pyrenean snows melt after winter, the river becomes a wild, foaming torrent, but at the end of May it was only a shallow trickle, winding its way sluggishly between the beds of reeds. At the very end of the day it would shine in the setting sun like a ribbon of molten gold.

The river was quite full with lots of wild life swimming around, Ducks with their babies and it looked as if there was plenty for them to eat in the water. With the colourful building either side made some lovely pictures.

Beautiful scenery! Lots of walking bridges to cross from new parts to old town with restaurants, small alleys and cafeterias.

When we were there, the water was not there as it was not the season for it. So it looked nothing like the photos, as there was rather tiny ponds than a river. But got to understand that the water is not always that accessible, and needs to be utilized right

The Onyar River dissects the old and the new towns and is particularly interesting because of the colourfully painted houses that run along the river bank. There are several bridges that cross the river in central Girona and the most notable is the Eiffel Bridge. The riverside is attractive and attracts many visitors so for the best photos it is... Looking at its appearance, it seems as if Onyar River is struggling to flow through the charming town of Girona, taken over and probably intimidated by the colourful blocks of flats that seem to have their foundation deep in the river. In some parts, the river looks deceivingly deep because of the buildings reflecting in the water, but the river... More

Not a hugely impressive river in August, but one bridge has good-class craft stalls along it and there are many pedestrian bridges to cross on. The buildings next to the river are very pretty, painted in different colours. The whole city has an air of elegance and charm. Well-worth visiting for more than one day.
