Had a lovely paddle on the Lake, booked at the last minute through www.sportravelling.com. Only 15 Euros each and we could take as long as we like. The local rep, Atilio, who helped sort out our group of 5 was very helpful, friendly and spoke good English. Highly recommend Caiac I Natura: www.caiacinatura.com.

First question was...where is the beach? No official open beach, this is huge minus for me. There is one place, one sport club, with beach but ticket cost 11euro, it is a little bit too much for me, so we went 150m to the left and we found nice restaurant (great coffee 1,5euro, some cold drinks and food) with lake acces... Instead of going to a crowded beach i decided to go to the beautiful lake Banyoles. Parking was easy and then there is a nice walking path at the side of the whole lake (one side it is the side of the road). There even is a part where you can swim. The trees provide a welcome shade. It would... More

A lovely lake, easy to walk around, but with several free bathing areas available. One bar was on the lakeside with bathing from it for a minimum spend of 2 euros. Lovely.

The arab baths are worth a look - however there is little to them really. Not much collateral by way of context or interpretation either. Only a couple of euros - so would visit.

A great place to spend an hour or two sitting, watching and enjoying a coffee or two. after that a nice stroll around the lake is possible. Plenty of places to eat and plenty of choices. The information centre is located by the waterside. It os possible to spend a day here wandering around the lake and town. Very popular... More

We were taken here on our day tour of the area. It is a beautiful little lake in a beautiful little town in a beautiful area. I would love to spend a month or two out here hiking, fishing, boating, rowing, and just exploring. The largest fresh water lake in Catalonia with very interesting origins and properties.

Marvelous place, to walk around and to sail inside the lake. Lots of nature to discover. Lots of activities to do with family and without. Porqueres Church which is next to the lake it's also a nice place to visit. Not always opened but nice to see from outside. To walk around the lake it's more or less one hour.... More

We never expected such an amazing place to be found in this area of spain. We were going round with our car and my wife noted on the internet about this place and so we decided to give it a go. When we arrived we were amazed by the size of the lake and the lifestyle round it. Simply beautiful... More

Delightful spot for a picnic, coffee or lunch on the shores of Banyoles lake. The water is crystal clear and good for swimming & paddling. The lake also serves as the training ground for Olympic rowers.
