This was a really well organised open-top, hop on-hop off bus tour, with three routes. All the top attractions were covered on the routes, and the staff at stops and on board were very helpful. The on board commentary was very good too. Would definitely use again.

We enjoyed the hop on, hop off bus, but we didn't actual hop off. We took both the red and blue routes all the way around. The green didn't look that interesting, so we passed on it. One has to be a bit patient, because of occasional idling at pick-up stops and traffic jams, but if you're not in a... More

For a suitable price you get to see the best places in Barcelona. Three colour coded routes, stoping at different districts of Barcelona was one of the best part of our holidays. I would recommend to start your journey as early as possible so then you will have time to get off the bus and visit all the places. Would... More

We were in Barcelona for 3 days after a cruise. We decided to spend the 1st day with a private tour guide. After that, we used Barcelona Bus Turistic for the other 2 days and wish we had used it for the first day also. The price was really inexpensive and it took us to all of the places we... More

The cost is 27euro for one day and there are three lines that will take you to various parts of the city. The narrative on the bus is available in many languages but lacks depth and the time between various sites is filled with music rather than giving more details on the history of the landmarks. Getting on the bus... More

We bought a two day ticket which is valid for all three tours. TIP - ask at your hotel as you can get a discount. The map is excellent and you are given a book of discount vouchers which we used. The headphones give you access to a commentary in 16 languages. The buses run very frequently and we never... More

Brilliant bus service providing tours of the city. 3 different routes - red, blue & green take you all across the city. You can hop on and off all day to visit anywhere. Buses run every 15 minutes. Every bus has a tour guide who speaks English. Headphones are provided & you can plug into about a dozen different languages.... More

I visited Barcelona for a day and found the hop-on, hop-off bus tour useful to get a good overview of the place. I agree with some other reviews that there were some long queues but generally the buses were quite frequent. Once you get a seat upstairs it is an enjoyable way to see the city on a sunny day.... While the tourist bus is nice like many other city buses but having gone on this trip I would say that you don't see much or get info or value on this bus routes ( blue and red) that you would rather not do on your own through visiting popular places through the metro and normal buses after doing your... This was a worthwhile hop on hop off because of how big barcelona is... gave us to see a lot of things without having very much time in the city. Give it a try, worth it, and the recordings are available in many languages.

Staying in La Rambla

Neighborhood Profile
La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-meter boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetizing selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.
