My sister booked me the Market Tour & Cooking class as a surprise birthday present and boy am I glad she did! You should definitely do the Market tour. David, our guide and chef instructor for the day, took us down several alleys on the way to Mercado Boqueria, pointing out artisanal shops selling great local ware (chocolate, olive oil,... More

Sara was a great teacher, and we enjoyed this interactive class where we learnt to cook traditional foods such as cod fish confit on flat bread, gazpacho, valencian paella and crema Catalana. Delicious food, fun times, plenty of wine, just a great way to spend a night in this wonderful city.

We just returned from a delightful vacation in Barcelona. One of the most memorable parts of our trip was the market tour and cooking class my 15 year old son and I took with the Cook & Taste school. Chef David was extraordinary and a delight to work with. His patience with my son and another young man in our... More

This is the place we always take visitors who like to cook and socialize with new people.we always learn something new about Barcelona and cooking techniques too. You can be as involved with the actual cooking as you want, plenty of wine to sip while making the dinner, and then you get to eat all of the market fresh soup,... More

Great service, very friendly and accommodating staff and tour guide. Our guide / chef, Mario, was very accommodating for a few folks in our class with dietary restrictions. Very patient and willing to allow time to trial different techniques, explain the recipes and processes, etc. We prepared a few tapes dishes, some great paella and ended it off with a... More

We were four couples traveling together and taking the dinner class. We had chosen what we wanted to make from a longer menu beforehand. When we arrived we were briefed about the evening, then we went shopping and on to learning the finer art of tapas. It was just right the balance between learning, doing and enjoying. We made some... Our instructor made the food very accessible for non-chefs, and the ingredients were probably selected to be easy to find in American stores, which was a nice touch. The wine flowed like water, and my classmates were great! I would recommend these classes to anyone looking for a less touristy way to get to know Spain for a few hours.... More

My husband and I recently took the Paella class at Cook and Taste Barcelona. It was by far the best of any cooking classes we have taken at home or while travelling. The class uses top quality ingredients and the instructor was fun and very informative. There were 14 in the English class. We made Gaspacho, grilled vegetables with Romesco... More

I recently participated in the Cooke and Taste walking tour of La Boqueria and the cooking class. Both were thoroughly enjoyable and tremendous learning experiences. It was easy to reserve a class through the company's website, and I quickly received detailed information regarding cost, directions, and what to expect. Cook and Taste also inquired about food allergies and preferences before... More

Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences.
