I recently participated in the Cooke and Taste walking tour of La Boqueria and the cooking class. Both were thoroughly enjoyable and tremendous learning experiences. It was easy to reserve a class through the company's website, and I quickly received detailed information regarding cost, directions, and what to expect. Cook and Taste also inquired about food allergies and preferences before... More

Not knowing what to expect as this was our first cooking class in a foreign country it surpassed our high expectations. The food and drinks were excellent. The chef was excellent, helpful, and accomdating to the entire group of 14. The time length of the class was perfect as it provided a relaxed environment. Would highly recommend.

We did the La Boqueria tour and cooking class with Chef David and it was the best! So informative, fun, and tasty. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who is either passing through Barcelona or like us is staying here awhile to get a real sense of how to shop and eat like a local.

Day of tour- June 12, 2015 Me and my sister set this up as a surprise for my Mom. My niece was in on the surprise. We took a cooking class with the tour of the market. We had 4 of us, and there 8 more people in the group, mostly pairs. Our chef was Sarah, she took us to... More

Had a great time here during a tour of the city. We had a group of 15 people, including several children aged 7-16. A great time was had by all, preparing 5 Catalan dishes. Our chef was brilliant, engaging all of the kids as sous chefs. They had a blast. The best part was eating all the food at the... More

Signed up for this event on advice from a friend. Could not have been more satisfied. Starts out with an optional trip to the"Bogueria", which is a large market off Las Ramblas. We did not do this due to a time conflict. You meet at the main cooking area where 10 other folks met us who had gone to the... More

Loved my cooking class at Cook & Taste! This was my first cooking class and it was so much fun. My instructor was very knowledgeable and made the class a wonderful experience. I joined her for the Boqueria Market tour where she purchased the freshest seafood and shared history about the market and city. We used that seafood to create... More

The whole experience is fantastic. The Chef was excellent and very entertaining. The food we prepared together was actually far better than I'd eaten in good restaurants in Spain.

After David led us on a very informative visit to the Boqueria where we bought fresh ingredients for supper, we returned to the inviting Cook and Taste kitchen, stopping for freshly made churro so whet our appetite. The day was so informative and fun, and we got to enjoy tapas, flat bread with roasted veggies and salt cod, a fabulous... More

Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences.
