The Cook and Taste class provided an excellent tutorial on paella and cream Catalan, etc. The instructor was knowledgeable about the underlying chemistry for the recipes. And the instruction for paella taught me how to create the correct rice texture and the crunch that a proper paella should have. We learned that a proper paella is brown and not yellow... More

My husband and I and our 2 teenage daughters kicked off a wonderful 10 days in Spain with this cooking class. It was fantastic. There were 2 other families with us as we went with our chef, David, to the Boqueria market where he selected the ingredients for our lunch. Back in the kitchen, we enjoyed getting to know our... My 15 yo daughter and I left this cooking class with a handful of recipes, full stomachs and a bunch of new friends. We started with a tour of the market which was an eye-opener- SO much produce - and we got lots of of tips into choosing the best fish and seafood. It was worth going with local, just... More

This was a fun cooking class. My boyfriend and I went on a Sunday night in March. It was a smaller group so it was intimate (but also pretty quiet). They give you the printed recipe in advance (and pencil) - I like this so I can write notes and to take home for when I cook myself. The location... More

My mom and I were looking for a fun, authentic cooking class during our travels in Barcelona. I was afraid of the tourist traps that show you how to make a salad and paella so I was a little apprehensive about everything that was out there. Fortunately we found this class and it was a highlight of our whole trip... More

We spent a wonderful day with Maria, a talented chef with a great sense of humor. She took 10 of us on a guided tour of the Mercado de La Boqueria, where she bought our supplies and taught us a lot about picking the best fish, meat and vegetables. Then we got to work peeling, chopping and sauteeing. We ended... More

A really enjoyable 4 hours, with a chef (David) who was both charming and knowledgeable. we did the trip around the market and were taken to a range of other food shops, shown architecture and had lovely nibbles to consume. The market trip was good as David explained a range of food, we went back later to buy some lovely... More

If you're at all into cooking or just have kids who are, under no circumstances should you miss this experience. David, our instructor, was fantastic at involving everyone in preparing a really delicious Spanish meal. Great time had by everyone, delicious meal and learned tons about cooking. Bravo David.

The cookng class was well organized, so that it was fun, not too heavy on theory or technique and includd a constant supply of snacks to nibble on. The chef teacher, Mario, was friendly and led us through how to make a good meal. I was impressed by the romesco sauce and pallea. Mario answered every question we threw at... More

I recommend doing the cooking class that also has a tour of the market included. Chef David is so nice and knowledgeable! The class is very informal and very fun. I met a few very nice people, we all ended up exchanging email addresses. Though I did the class with a friend, I do recommend it for singles too because... More

It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences.
