Easy to find and Quim (I think) was a fun instructor getting everyone involved in this or that. My 13-yr-old daughter was the only kid in the class of 9 but he helped her feel at ease. She doesn't really cook much but got right in there, cleaning squid, plating our veggie app, squirting the romesco sauce and just enjoying... More

We booked this last minute with Viator and received excellent service from the booking agent. The location of this course is exceptionally convenient as its 5 minutes walk from Jaume metro and perfect for heading on into town afterwards if you have the energy! There were 11 people in our group on a Friday night and it consisted of couples,... More

In setting up the class Marta was quick in answering my questions via email. You can feel the friendliness from Marta. I instantly knew this was a place I wanted to take a class from. David was our chef and his passion for what he does shined through his cooking. David is funny, personable and was great at answering all... More

La boqueria was fantastic. Most of the ingredients were bought in the market fresh and the cooking class was interactive. The chef will make sure everyone participate in the process. The 4-course lunch both look and taste excellent. What a great experience!

I chose the morning class with the trip to the Market. David was our chef, and was very friendly, and professional and I could tell he knew what he was doing. Even though we did not cook anything too complicated, it was enough to understand the Catalonian style of cooking and spices. The cream brulee is a much simpler version... More

My sister booked me the Market Tour & Cooking class as a surprise birthday present and boy am I glad she did! You should definitely do the Market tour. David, our guide and chef instructor for the day, took us down several alleys on the way to Mercado Boqueria, pointing out artisanal shops selling great local ware (chocolate, olive oil,... More

Sara was a great teacher, and we enjoyed this interactive class where we learnt to cook traditional foods such as cod fish confit on flat bread, gazpacho, valencian paella and crema Catalana. Delicious food, fun times, plenty of wine, just a great way to spend a night in this wonderful city.

We just returned from a delightful vacation in Barcelona. One of the most memorable parts of our trip was the market tour and cooking class my 15 year old son and I took with the Cook & Taste school. Chef David was extraordinary and a delight to work with. His patience with my son and another young man in our... More

This is the place we always take visitors who like to cook and socialize with new people.we always learn something new about Barcelona and cooking techniques too. You can be as involved with the actual cooking as you want, plenty of wine to sip while making the dinner, and then you get to eat all of the market fresh soup,... More

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
