Let me start by saying this bar is not for the young aged. Me and my girlfriend cane here due to the reviews on trip advisor. We got to the bar and it's hard to spot from the outside, you can't see inside from outside. We walked in and the area of this bar was tiny - there was space... More

Boada's is devoted to the art of mixing a fantastic cocktail and its three bartenders each demonstrate incredible pride, skill and knowledge in the art of mixing a drink. The bar itself is on the small side with not much seating, so most patrons stand, but if you want to both see how a great cocktail is made and enjoy... More

We stumbled across this when walking down las ramblas. We saw cocktails and a trip advisor sticker at the door so thought we'd give it a go. Instantly we loved it - the decor is classic and wooden, very vintage feel to it. The bartenders are in bowties and are very formal which adds to the vintage classic feel. the... More

Its a small unpretentious cocktail bar just off the Ramblas. The barmen are formally dressed and make authentic cocktails which we enjoyed. No frills tho eg peanuts etc. And you sit on stools at the bar or around the walls.

I took my son to Barcelona for his 18th birthday over a long weekend and on the Saturday night we came here after eating superb tapas in Ciudad Condal. We had an excellent evening and tried several different cocktails. Caipirinha, daiquiri, mojito, brandy Alexanders and following a chat with our barman about what sort of drink we liked, a “surprise.”... More

Have been going to this bar on and off for fifteen years but it is worth pointing out that on recent visits the bar staff has become increasingly arrogant and surly to the point where four of us left (last night) before our drinks were even served. There's nothing worse than in any establishment than when the staff is condescending... More

Small, dark, seems unchanged from the 1930s- which adds to the charm. Difficult to spot from the street- which adds to the charm. We were there quite early, but apparently it's crowded later in the evening. "Authentic"- (surprising as it is so close to La Rambla)-which adds to the charm. Friendly staff, one of whom did not speak English- which... More

After reading several reviews of Bar Boadas we decided to give it a try and were overwhelmed by the quality of service that we received from this hipster free zone. Normal clients enjoying a variety of cocktails prepared and served by a very experienced courteous waiter. Shall certainly return at our next opportunity.

Staying in La Rambla

Neighborhood Profile
La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-meter boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetizing selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.
