We visited in July 2012! We arrived with a private tour at around 4pm. It was a thrill to see the making of the candy. The kids really had the wow factor! Very friendly staff! Check Mark item on your visit to Barca!
These guys and gals are brilliant. You get to watch them create rock (as in sweets). The sugerworkers are very relaxed and their on show skills are excellent. The product tastes great too. Try some!
This great little candy shop is a gem. You can watch them make the candy right there in the store, the browse the wall taking in all the intricate treats. There are even candies in the shapes of a sushi set! In the window, you are treated to a host of amazingly life-like edible wonders, like dice and playing cards....

This is such a fun place - a sweet shop where you can watch the artisans rolling out, cutting and moulding all sorts of sweets and lollies. The presentation packages and jars are really pretty and make perfect gifts at very reasonable prices. A great little place in a street full of nice restaurants and bars.
ena macana, "watch out for the small things " !!!

The daytime visit was much more interesting as sweets were actually being made, although it is a tiny...

You have to get there around 4PM to watch the candy artists pouring the syrup onto cold marble slabs to start the candy crafting. We were there with one other family anticipating the session to begin.
Two candy artists mixed colors into the syrup to prepare all the colors required to make a small bit of candy with the initials...

This was on my list of things to do, but when we entered there was hardly anything inside! There was a few people working that didn't seem to notice us enter, and then a single row of candies. That was about it. A bit anti-climatic!
