If you are in Barca, you have to go on this show/ It's better to view this show when it is dark in the street. more
I wouldn't rate this the best thing to do in Barcelona, but the fountains are absolutely worth it. They are a particularly nice way to end the day, especially if you're in Barcelona in the summer, when you've been out in the heat for so long. Make sure you stick around for the later, after dark performances. The night we... more
One of the things I really wanted to see in Barcelona and on a hot summers night at 11.30pm I sat with a silly grin on my face watching the 'Magic Fountain' move to the classic music and was dazzed by the colours. The 'Magic Fountain' is for all ages however think it might be better late at night against... more
As most of the other reviews state any trip to Barcelona would not be complete without a trip to the 'Magic Fountain'. Best viewed in the dark the display has music for all ages and tastes with fantastic lighting and water effects. The whole displsay was breathtaking and quite moving. more
Words, photographs and videos don't do justice to this fantastic attraction. During the summer months, it pays to stay as long as possible to fully appreciate both the formations and colours in the hours of darkness, although its still an awesome sight in any light. The highlight of our visit was the song "Barcelona" by Freddy Mercury and Monserrat Caballe... more
It's simply awesome. The best place to experience the beauty of the show is from the steps outside the MNAC. The MNAC is a museum at the top of Montjuic Mountain, and from the steps there is an undisturbed view all the way down to the fountain, plus you get to enjoy the night view across the city of Barcelona.... more
We planned our entire evening around making sure we saw the Magic Fountains because we had read such great reviews of them. We were there on a Saturday evening in April, around 8:00pm. While it was cool to see the fountains "dancing" to the music, it was not breathtaking since it wasn't even dark out yet! I imagine it would... more
The Magic Fountain is absolutely magnificent and it's a must for anyone visiting Barcelona. It's runs only from Thursday-Sundays from 9pm and is free. There will be crowd waiting prior to this time but don't worry about reserving seats, as you can easily enjoy this pretty much anywhere in the vicinity and it just runs continuously with only short a... more
Just returned from Barcelona. The wait in the damp, cold weather was worth it. We arrived @ 6:30 to get a good spot. We were not disappointed. A must see. more
