Aula Canela Fina cooking classes Barcelona. Aula Canela Fina is an authentic family style kitchen located in Barcelona’s Gothic district. Canela Fina was started by and is managed by two lovely Catalan women, Anna and Nuria, who offers a variety of food related services. Anna is a terrific Catalan cook, runs home-style cooking classes in which she teaches small groups how to cook classic Spanish and Catalan dishes. After the classes, students enjoy what they have cooked in a private dining room with wine included. Canela Fina is flexible to offering other types of services as well including catering. Anna can cook an excellent meal for you to enjoy at a private lunch or dinner party. Aula Canela Fina can also do team-building exercises centered around cooking and also rent out their charming cooking space for private exhibitions and events. Classes are in Catalan, Spanish or English.

We did this tapas cooking as part of a team building event during an international training course in Barcelona. The team was really fantastic and welcoming. We enjoyed the cooking with a glas of wine and then were delighted to eat what we had cooked!

We all thoroughly enjoyed... More

Last month, my friends and I went to Barcelona on holiday. My best friend already told me about Canela Fina (she had already been there six months ago) but I couldn't imagine it would be that great. First we had a Spanish tapas cooking class. Anna and Nuria (the teachers) were really friendly and explained us how to prepare some... More

Arranging a tapas cooking class with Canela Fina turned out to be such a pleasure and a highlight of our trip to Spain. Anna and Nureya are excellent teachers who have fun with you while you learn, drink wine and feast on the best and freshest tapas you will have while in Spain. I highly recommend a Canela Fina class.... More

Trinity College organized a cooking class for us at Canela Fina and it was wonderful. The staff was friendly and well organized. We were each divided into groups and were all able to participate. The tasks were simple yet fun. Canela organized a beautiful dinner table with candles and endless bottles of water and wine. The food we made was... More

Went to Canela Fina for a cooking class/lunch with a group of friends. When we arrived the cooking stations were ready to go and so were the ingredients. We spent about an hour cooking various tapas and then about another hour enjoying our food in a great atmosphere. All around it was a very fun activity and the food was... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
