We took part on an 'Introduction to Barcelona' walking tour led by Jana, who is originally Czech but easily mistaken for an native speaker from the States. She was highly energetic, engaging and had all the important info for a first-time-in- Barcelona-tourist. I also liked that at the beginning she asked us about our names and nationalities so we could... More

Massar provided us with a wonderfully, informative 3+ hour tour of Barcelona and even after the tour he stayed with us and continued to answer our questions in the bar. His insight and knowledge was excellent and the tour route took us through many squares, narrow streets and past important buildings. Was upset that, after such a nice tour, some... More

Juan Carlos was interesting and he did his best to teach us some things without being boring. The tour was average as to what you would expect from a free walking tour. The Traveler Bar where you meet was very kind and offered advise and assistance to those waiting for the tours.

With Juan Carlos as our guide we couldn't go wrong. With lots of knowledge and some quirky detours it was a great way to experience the city for the first time. I would definitely recommend it! thanks again!

As Americans we were skeptical that we could get a tour in Barcelona for free that was not some sort of scam. In the US, a free will usually mean that you will be first forced to listen to 1 hr high pressure sales pitch to buy something else. Nope its free - and excellent. Chryssi our guide was articulate... Went on this tour on my first day in the city, learnt a lot about the history of Barcelona and had a good tour of the old city. Our guide, Juan Carlos was an excellent guide and had lots of information about the City. After the tour we enjoyed a beer at the Travel Bar with some of the other... More

Our tour guide was Max and he was absolutely fantastic!!! Incredibly knowledgeable about the area but also more importantly a great story teller. He kept my husband and I captivated for the whole 2 and 1/2 hour tour. It is a great way to spend the morning/early afternoon and I learnt a great deal about the history, politics and culture... It was obvious that he loves this city and he was able to gives those of us on his tour a sense of the history and color that surrounds this place . We took the free 3-hour tour to acclimate ourselves with Barcelona. Wow, Max was amazing. I love love love history, and he took us through the very start of Barcelona as a Carthaginian colony to the present day with the ending of the dictatorship. We learned a lot about present day Barcelona and its free Catalan spirit. He has a... More
