Whether you’re here for just a day or for longer our English (or Spanish) speaking, long-time residents of Barcelona will open your eyes to the beauty and mystery surrounding this great city and help you get the most out of your stay. We will step back in time and walk you through the history of the region, the city and its people, from its Roman birth through the Middle Ages to the events and conflicts of modern times that shaped it and brought it to life. We will show you everything from a naked Italian man to Roman ruins and art by both Picasso, Dali and Miro. It includes "traditional" tour elements like architecture, (old) churches, flags and monuments but we will also show you animals like dragons, griffons, gargoyles and even a unicorn. You will learn about the Columbus connection, the Spanish Civil War, the 1992 Olympics, the Independence movement, why La Rambla is famous, words in a new language, about local sports, the regional culture and cuisine, where to go and where not to and much, much more. After the tour we will give you the unique opportunity to sit down in the Travel Bar with the guide to talk, discuss, ask questions and make new friends with your fellow travelers over a glass of locally produced beer or lovely Sangria, Spain's famous wine punch, and maybe even some tapas? The meeting point is in Travel Bar, just off Las Ramblas on the street leading straight away from where the Miró mosaic and the Chinese Dragon is, rain or shine, daily at 11:00, 13:00 and 15:00 in English (y a las 11:00 también en Espanol). « less

Me and my friends spontaneously decided to go on one of the Free Walking Tours and then chose the Photography Tour with Andrei. We didn't really know what to expect so I was positively surprised! We got many insights of how to take pictures, the history of photography combined with the history of the city. It leads through the gothic... More

Two hours seems long but it passes very quickly with non stop information topped up with bits of humour.Good experience and well worth a... More

I took two walking tours with this company. Colin did the Introduction to Barcelona walking tour, which was SO informative and fun! The hours flew by. Colin has a great speaking style and energy. He does his best to find us shady places to sit or stand while he talks (very grateful for that!) and his stories are great. I... More

We did the free walking tour of the Bari Gotic area with Hannah which gave a thorough run through of Barcelona's most historic quarter. She was very friendly and knowledgeable, and even stayed for a drink after the tour to give us tips and things to see - always feel free to ask for recommendations as generally the guides are... An excellent and informative tour with the lovely vibrant Luke, amusing and very interesting totally different to any other city walking that we've done before and we've done a fair few over the years, really really enjoyed it, met some interesting people also over a cheeky beer!!! Keep up the good work Pam & Julian Jones Ryde, Isle of Wight

This tour was a really fun way to see the gothic part of Barcelona and to learn a little of the history of the city.

Barcelona alone has a really nice atmosphere to it but Colin, our tour guide, definitely made the experience much more enjoyable. It was a really awesome experience overall, THANKS!
