Club not open when we went so just a bar really. Late Monday night and it was dead apart from us and 2 irish girls we hooked up having met seconds before. Nothing to add really- we entertained ourselves and got thoroughly drunk before off to the girls hotel for a piss up and ended the night off my head.

I really enjoyed this club. They play a good selection of indie rock tunes and the sound system is tip top; loud but not unpleasantly so. The club is actually in a basement room with another bar on street level. Plus there are loads of outside tables should you wish to sit on the Placa Reial, beer in hand. Take... More

My first trip to sidecar was 2012 and i was worried it would have changed when i went again this year. However it is still a good choice for any indie or rock fan. Good beers, strong rum and good for a dance too. Bar staff are friendly and its a good place to stop for a drink before a... More

great atmosphere, good music, cool people and a fair price. Surely you will have a great night in Barcelona, I recommend the bar on the "antikaraokê" day. https://www.facebook.com/antikaraoke?fref=ts

A very quirky and entertaining night out at Anti Karaoke, not expensive and good fun if you like rock music, would recommend it anyway for the experience. Check it out when you are in Barcelona

Tucked away in the corner of placa reial off la rambla, edgy bar with really great music if you're into indie, they give you a free drink token on entry and if you get there before 1.30am it's half the price on the door. However at this time there'll be nobody in - got busy at 2.30-3ish. Would go again

The person who was in the entrance was disgusting and rude when whe wanted to go downstairs... They have to change their staff or the recruitment policy.... They forget that people that is coming area customers and respect is an important thing.

We went to Sidecar for a drink after having dinner in the Plaza. Really nice vibe in the bar - cool lights and a big screen at the back showing music videos. The music was really good for fans of indie/Brit music. Music was loud but not too loud and so we could still hear each other. They made a... More

super nice place, open until 6am. very crowded (I was not able to move), but people were very nice and it was really funny - they play rock, revival, and indie music.

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
