Only managed to do one of the three walks but would definitely like to do the others if i return to Barcelona. Biel our guide was very passionate and knowledgeable about the city ....and who can blame him as it is a beautiful city. Saw much more than we would have either on our own or on a city bus... More

While in Barcelona we took 2 walking tours with Xavi - the Gaudi Tour and the El Born Tour. We had visited the Park Guell and Casa Batllo the previous day and the information that we learned on this tour was fascinating and added greatly to what we had learned the day before. The tour ended at the Sagrada Familia... More

So glad that I chose to follow this tour, I learnt much more about Gaudi's and other wonderful "artwork" in Barcelona. The stories and meaning behind are impressive. I would not have known any and been that amazed if I only walked pass and saw the architecture by myself.

We did two free tours in one day- the Gaudi tour and the Ramblas tour. Both were fantastic with insightful tour guides. Highly recommend both tours!

Our family had a great private tour with Montse in Barcelona this summer. It was our first time in the city and we learned so much about the history and architecture and neighborhoods. We emailed before our tour and she tailored the tour to our needs and even my children were entertained.

We were really impressed with Discover Walks in Paris last year and were not disappointed when we went on the El Born Picasso walking tour with Discover Walks in Barcelona. The ethuasism of our guide for her surroundings and her willingness to assist with any queries about Barcelona (or for that matter, Spain) couldn't help but make you love the... More

We went to Barcelona well prepared, and to be honest, quite some of the story telling during the walking tour sounded very familiar if you have read your travel guide well. Having said that, the Discover Walks walking tours are good fun, the guide was very likable and professional. You have the opportunity to ask anything about Barcelona you want.... More

I used a different walking tour last trip, and thought I would try this organization this time. We did Ramblas and Barri Gotic and the El Born tour. My husband is wheelchair dependent, which worked out excellent. Both guides were enthusiastic and loaded with great commentary. The time of the tours, about 1 1/2 hours is great. Their meeting areas... More

I went on the El Born and Gaudi walks. Each guide had her and his individual approach to make each tour informative and interesting. There was no doubt that they knew what they were talking about while skilfully moving us through the sometimes busy streets. These walks provided a great way of finding out about the history of these areas... More

I took the Gaudi tour expertly run by Biel. Three of us met our guide outside Casa Batllo which is where the tour started. Biel was charming, very interesting and gave such an informative tour it made my stay in Barcelona even more worthwhile. He is a local guy and had such a wealth of knowledge which he imparted with... Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
