My husband took me to Barcelona for my 36th birthday and surprised me with an afternoon at the Aire de Barcelona spa. It was by far the best spa experience I've ever had! This place is beautiful and has an earthy feel to it. The spa had a mix of warm and cold baths, pools, steam shower and massage areas.... More

A remarkable place -- the aromatherapy they mention in the brochure is a mix of subtle, pleasing scents, with the exception of the not-so-subtle eucalyptus in the steam bath. Multiple pools at different temperatures, whirlpools, and a lovely salt pool where one can float hands free. The massage was good, my friend's de-stress treatment on warm marble was very disappointing.... More

My husband and I booked a late night session on our last night before an early flight to Rome after 3 hectic sightseeing days in Barcelona! What a treat! Set underground in dimly lit, warm, quiet and tranquil settings it was the ultimate way to unwind. They do 90 minutes slots which you book on to, you have free run... More

Mother-daughter bonding time! Had a 30-minute massage followed by a facial massage/treatment. It was wonderful! The overall ambiance, with the pools prior to the treatments, was very relaxing and elegant at the same time. Prices very reasonable as well. Highly recommended.

It was our first time in barcelona and in this spa. When we got down to the different pools no one told us about them before we asked. But when we asked we got our tour around. The atmosphere is nice and quiet. We had booked a argan ritual - the massage experience was great! The argan ritual has e great... More

The street outside is bustling, the front door unassuming but step side and you are instantly in one of the most tranquil spas I have ever been to. Not all staff spoke fluent English but they very discreetly found ones that did to attend to our needs specially so that we would not feel awkward with our somewhat ropey Spanish!... More

Booked the "my perfect skin" treatment at €95 pp. The most relaxing, amazing facial and back massage to be had, so much so i dozed off twice. After my face and skin felt so clean and revitalised. This massage took an hour and after we had 2 hours to use the various baths. Read on trip advisor that massage infringed... More

I had researched this little gem prior to my visit however made the mistake of not pre booking a treatment... They are always busy and require 4 visitors to make appointments in advance. I attended for my birthday and was fortunate to come across such accommodating staff who provided me with a complimentary full body massage to ensure my visit... More

We came here after landing in Barcelona. After a long flight this was exactly what we needed! We did the bathes and then a couple massage! The whole experience was so relaxing! You have a separate changing room with lockers and then meet together in the bathes area. I brought all my own shampoo and conditioner. They had dryers and... More

I go every time we visit Barcelona - it feels like I am returning to the womb for 2 hours - it is pure bliss. It is cheap, it is luxurious, it is heavenly. Try it

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
