Walk up the hill right to the top and enjoy the view all around. Do not use the cable cars or whatever moving device to get up there, as you won't experience the park and the atmosphere.

If you get that feeling that the city life of Barcelona is just getting too much for you then head up the Parc Montjuic. It sits above the city with quiet contempt....in Spanish hands for so many centuries it now oozes Catalunya....a quiet solitude gazing over the city...not with Spanish dictatorship but with Catalan tranquility...beautiful.

The Cable Car over the port to Parc de Montjuic was very impressive - even though both me and my friend are scared of heights, it was worth taking to get that incredible panoramic view of Barcelona. The park itself was beautiful and you wondered around enjoying the still blooming flowers, taking in the sculptures and enjoying the view. There... More

Visited the Fort (great views but not much else), Miro museum (modern change from all the "old-classicss), strolled by the Olympic sites, passed by the "magic" fountains (came back for the light show at night - so so), and had a sangria on the plaza... The whole parc is a perfect place to walk and needs to do so to enjoy it. By other means you will lose the thrill. And there are so many places and museums to visit. In reality the whole parc is like an open museum. Definetely you have to visit the greek theater (especially during summer when many acts and... More
