Beautiful gardens and castle. You don't have to take any of the expensive 'Funiculares' to get up there to the castle. Have a nice little walk. With good weather you're definitely going to enjoy it.

Another amazing park to visit. It was a castle that has fantastic views of the Mediterranean Sea and port. It was built in 1640 and has an interesting history. There was a watchtower with an interesting sundial at the top !! There are cannons and artillery batteries. Even a moat was created, although dry now with beautiful jogging path.

If one wants to walk quite a lot the whole of montjuic is a great choice for spring or autumn. Some patience needed for the huge queues at some of the attractions so better go during working days. Be ready to devote a whole day and wear comfortable shoes.

Fun in the cable car cabin up and the larger one later back across the harbour. The Miro museum isn't to be missed. The citadel is worth walking around and we also had a look in at the Olympic stadium. Clear air and a long view out to sea and inland.

The parc is in the center of Barcelona but at the same time you feel like you left the city once you are there... Visit the Poble espanyol if you have time it's worth the detour, takes pics of the city skylines and take the teleferic to go to the Barceloneta (great pics and views of the city)

The cable car (Teleferic) was, for me, one of the highlights of our trip to Barcelona. The views over the city are magnificent from both the cable car and once at the top of Montjuic. The Parc is great for a stroll around and around the rear of the Castle, you can see the Port of Barcelona ( which is... More

Plan your visit by using teleferic. When you use the metro with from the paralel station you see no landscape.

This is a beautiful serene spot close to the city center. I have visited there a couple of times during April - the flowers' blossom was beautiful. Access to the area is easy either by walking from Plaça Espanya (through the fountain and the palace) or by Metro straight into the Montjuïc Cable Car Station. Don't miss the Olympic Stadium... More

Visited the parc via the cable car ride which is very much worth the money. Amazing views of Barcelona and a beautiful place to enjoy the sunshine. Definitely worth a visit.

Quite a lot of walking uphill....or maybe I felt this way because I was 5 months pregnant. Beautiful view of the city, the castle is free to enter which is a plus!
