Like the view, well maintained and a good place to visit. We used the cable car to go up and walked down.

Take the table car up / down and experience great view of Barcelona. I think the cost is 7-8 EUR which is pretty reasonable. There is a castle and gardens so you could spend a couple hours here and soak up the scenery

Great place to have a stroll. It can be best accessed by funicular from the Parallel-el Metro station. Included in the park is the art museum of Joan Miro a must see.

Took the funicular, to close to the park. great walks around the open air theatre and Olympic park. Cable car up to the castle is fun and views back over Barcelona are spectacular. Would recommend.

We loved this place! It has beautiful views of Barcelona and is a must go to if you are visiting the area. A few tips - firstly, get the metro to Monjuic station and walk from there - don't be fooled into getting the cable car as it is 15 euro return when it is actually only a 10 minute... More

Using the metro, there is a special train from Parallel to get to the Cable Car which will take you to Parc Montjuic, which is a great service. Reasonably priced too. Not a great deal to see / do at Montjuic though so don't expect to spend all day there.

i like MontJuic. Love to go there for a walk. Some places are paying, which is a shame but a nice place (with a clear '92 OG ambiance to it).

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
