I have been to Barcelona before and totally ignored the Montjuic area, but this time around since I stayed in an apartment in Plaça Eapanya and it's just 1 train ride away (and very near La Rambla too) we found time to drop by and walked around the park. It was beautiful. Starting with the magic fountain and the 4... More

Worth the effort to go there, we took the turistic bus then you can hop on and off as you like. Nice views over the city and peaceful surroundings in the big gardens with water features everywhere.

We made a point to see the Olympic Stadium - it was free and it brought back so many fond memories of the Olympic games in 1992. The Joan Miro Foundation is just a stone's throw away, along with the tram that takes you up to the castle. Perfect day!

Lots of interesting plants. Great views of the city. You can walk your socks off here, there is a cable car also if you want to walk less. Worth a visit.

The trip to Montjuic is fun, especcially if one's with kids: the funicular followed by the teleferic make approaching the castle fun. The view from the castle is fantastic.

You can reach the parc by telephrique to enjoy the beautiful scene of almost all of barcelona. The parc overlooks barcelona port where most costa cruises stops there. You can continue to visit montjuic castle.

We took the funicular to the top of the park. Great view of the city and a nice change from the city streets. We went to the Castell de Montjuic (separate charge) via cable cars, saw the area around the Olympic pool (including very pretty fountains), took a nice walk through the park and had a great day in pretty... Lovely fountains, great views of teh city & easily accessible by metro (walk from Placa Espanya or funicular from Paralel). If you walk from Placa Espanya, there are a sequence of escalators to take you to the almost the highest level, would need to climb some stairs right at the end.

We found this park on our back door step and was not disappointed! really worth a visit. Beautiful gardens - very hilly mind! Decided to go on a run there, a lot of hills, but amazing views of the city the whole way up. Managed to run up to the castle which had beautiful views all round the city. You... More
