The main exhibits are based on the development of the earth and it's geology and life. Some interesting audio-visual displays, and I liked the dark interior. Our family all enjoyed the special exhibition about the world's most poisonous creatures, 50 of them on live display. Curious that there were no exhibits from Australia.

As my son said its like going into the Millenium Falcon as you walk in underneath. Our 5 year old was free and as he was with us it was even cheaper. With the special exhibition it was €10 for the 3 of us. The special exhibition was the most venimous creatures on the planet with 50 live ones. This... More

This is wonderful if you're staying in the Maresme area or close to the Diagonal Mar shopping centre. It is a great natural science museum with some very interesting exhibits. Visited when there was a special exhibition on the most poisonouse animals in the world - with live exhibits. My sons were absolutely captivated. Staff wonderful. Facilities clean and welcoming.... I had a Barcelona Card to see all the local attractions. Since this museum was next door to our hotel we decided to check it out. It is a huge structure with nothing spectacular about it. It was dark inside and two staff members in dark clothing standing by a dark wall scared us as we were walking around looking... More

If you have any interest in natural sciences this place is well worth a visit. It gives extensive coverage of the evolution of animals and man with lots of hands-on displays and plenty of skeletons. We also found the sections on geology and the formation of the universe extremely well done. The exhibitions are well laid out with English language... More

It was definitely a pleasant surprise. The exhibitions are comprehensive interesting, with massive use of interactive flat-screen displays and projectors. There are workshops for kids too. If one is interested in natural history, this place concentrates lot's of information presented in interesting way.

My 14 year old son wanted to go and turned out good valve for 8 euros for the family. All exhibits featured an English description and found the museum very interesting with helpful staff.

Impressive building and very good exhibits. But why are science museums so often dark inside? Well laid out, although it didn't show me things I couldn't have seen at our local branch of the Natural History Museum. Still, I did learn something new about bird plumage, so worth the trip. Plenty of things to entertain small children. No cafe or... More
