I loved to visit Montserat with his Black Virgin...the virgin who rise from darkness. There is a legend about the Holy Grail was here , but , now ...isn't in our space...may be in the 4-th dimension ? Nice place, quiet, flowers and amazing church. I felt like in a legend. I recomand to aproach this place with tenderness and... More

Well organised tour and bus trip to the monastery. Much to do, with art collection and monastery and monastic produce. Kissing the foot of the black madonna and washing with the water have long ques so go there first if you need to do this, then take in the other attractions later so that you can still get the bus... An hours train ride will take you to Montserrat, no need to book a guided tour unless you really want to. The cable car ride is great with stunning views, and once you reach the top it is beautiful. I spent a morning exploring the area and thoroughly enjoyed it. You can visit the monastery and see the Black Madonna.... More

Do not book this or any tour thru Viator. We had our passports, cash credit cards stolen the day before our reservation & tried to cancel & get a refund because we had to go to consulate. NO refunds because it was less than 2 day notice. ZERO customer service. They just want $$

Still everything was well organised and we had the opportunity to check everything around. Here are some advices: 1) Read carefully the local transit conditions. You have to use the metro line, train and... More

If you don't have time to visit anything else...do this day trip, first. The views atop the Montserrat are breathtaking. How they managed this building project at that time is amazing.

Montserrat has a beautiful Monastery on top of the mountain with a large history behind, the shape and view of the mountains is impressive from there, also there is a nice walks, food and drinks are available and the trip is worth it and not to complicated from Barcelona by train bus or car.

It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences.
