All around this was one of the best aquariums I have ever been in. The feature was the main holding tank that allows you to walk under it - pretty spectacular.
I really enjoyed our trip to the aquarium especially the part where you travel on the moving floor underneath a huge aquarium! We went as a couple and I would definitely recommend it for families with children of all ages. It is a little on the expensive side and expect to queue in summer.
Its a very good Aquarium, but unfortunately on a wettish Sunday its were all of Barcelona seems to go.
We had to pay adult entrance fee of 20€ for my 10 year old son because he was tall on their height chart! Many display tanks were empty. The penguins had a funny speedy moment which was very entertaining. The balcony upstairs in the Explore area is very shaky, keep away from it. One tank which was interesting to look... More
20€ per adult is to much... If you can find cheaper tickets go for it. Nice fishes but im not sure its worth this amount of money.
To much fish in the tanks(the fish had clearly visible bitemarks in several tanks)dying fish in two of the tanks, and in general filthy thanks, the worst thing however in my opinion was the size of the pinquine habitat.. aprox 5x3m in size and about 10 animals in it...
This was my first time in Barcelona as a mom, so was fun to bring rock star baby to see the fish. I always get a giddy feeling in aquariums...reminds me of fun school trips and great weekends with my parents. As others mentioned, the aquarium is pretty small. The moving sidewalk, underwater tank display was cool and the penguins... More
Visited with my parter around new year and was extremely disappointed! I have visited many aquariums and this is by far the worst. Around three quarters of the fish tanks were steamed up and the glass was filthy so you were unable to see the fish inside some of the tanks. 20 euros to get in and would rather have... More
Having comparison with some other aquariums, this one is old, the display is not attractive, you cant come close and have a good look, but no means do you feel like you are immersed in the water.
The worst aquarium I've ever been to. Dont waste your money on the rundown attraction where all the animals look like they are 5 minutes away from dying due to old age and running into the glass walls. Im sure kids would like it cause they wouldn't know what they are looking at. Waste of time and money.
