Price: Free There are some trails leading up Tibidabo close to Els Penitents. Its at least 1h long with great views of the city along the way. Up there you can have a bocadillo and beer at Marcia (very sympatethic people) feeling like a winner and have a great view of the city and behind the mountain. The trails are... More

Had intended to travel there using the blue tramway, but we discovered that it was not not running on the day we went. Never the less the bus ride and funicular railway to the top was well worth the trip as it rewarded us with an amazing view of the whole of Barcelona.

We had seen this on trip advisor before visiting Barcelona and really wanted to go for the view. We tried to catch the T2 tourist bus from Placa de Catalunya but were told from a very dismissive woman that the amusement park wasn't open during the week and the bus wasn't running. However we still wanted to go so we... More

Looked at the reviews and decided we should go to the Tibidabo for the view not the fun fair - which was lucky as it was closed (if you DO want to go to the fair the list of days it's open is VERY complicated so check in advance). Got to the Av Tibidabo metro station and then took the... More

Tibidabo mountain and the amusement park are amazing! The view from the top is breathtaking and the basilica is quite impressive! You should probably plan a whole day for your visit, if you're planning to try more than 1 or 2 rides. It's easy to get there but it takes time. First, you get the underground, then the "blue tram"... More

This mountain close to Barcelona provides an amazing view of the city and the Mediterranean just beyond. We tried to access it from our Hop on Hop off bus but the time of day and time of year meant that the "Blue trams"(Tramvia Blau) that take you up the mountain were not in operation. We waited about 20 minutes for... More

It is the other big hill in Barcelona. On the top of Tibidabo you find the observatorium, the Florida Hotel and the great Temple of the Holly Heart of Jesus build by Sagnier. For those who love the nature, this part of Barcelona it is a must.

We hired a scooter and made our way up in the evening, (the scooter price is around £20/day so definitely worth it as you can get around the whole town for really cheap and fun! Note though that you have to have a motorcycle driving licence, only car licence isn't enough any more) which was a bit tricky, but after... More

Hopped off the Barcelona City tour bus and planned to take the tram up the mountain to the Funicular railway. Unfortunately the tram was not running and thanks to a friendly local we took the bus upto the Funicular station. We enjoyed the views and the church, albeit it was a little cold and windy in early March. It must... More

We were getting restless on the hop on/hop off bus and thought this looked interesting so decided to hop off and go for a walk. There was a vernacular, but we wanted to stretch our legs. It's not a walk for the feint-hearted but well worth it if you're able to. The views all the way up are amazing. At... More
