Just beautiful. I really love churches, and this one is amazing. It's a huge cathedral, and every detail is interesting. You could go up to the tower which is also very cool. I was there for an hour and it felt to me like I was there for only 20 minutes.

This beautiful cathedral is a highlight of the city. You can hear the bells from almost anywhere in the Barrie Gotic. The gothic architecture is fantastic, and it is lighted beautifully after dark. Be sure to check the visiting hours, no visiting during Masses. It can get pretty busy in the afternoons.

When Eulalia was asked 13 times to renounce her Christian faith, she declined 13 times and was tortured 13 times, before being crucified by the Romans at the end of the 12th century. Her remains lie in a crypt below the altar. A small staircase leads past the viewing area. Her story alone makes this a memorable visit. This cathedral... More

Fantastic space that offers unsual shots to treasure. And BTW, have you seen geese in a cathedral before??? Well, then this one is a must!

The nave, choir and crypt are well worth seeing. The side altars are a bit too ornate for my taste but they are well maintained. The view from the room and a stroll through the cloister certainly add much to the visit

This is one of few excellent gothic cathedrals outside of France. It is a hidden treasure behind other buildings. It is €6 to get in but worth it.....catholic or not. It is one of those beautiful sights that provoke rethinking catholicism during the period.....rich and where salvation were important. It is not massive like Notre Dame but equally intricate and... Worth a look if you are nearby. La Catedral is large and elegant inside with some nice geese :-) I particularly liked the view from the roof where you have fine views of the city.

You need to have modest clothing to be allowed inside. We traveled to the Cathedral only to be turned away because we were wearing shorts. ( we are in our mid- 50s, these were almost knee length shorts!). There is a vendor selling shawls for woman with any cleavage or shoulders showing. But if you are wearing shorts you are... More

When we went it was entry by donation. I didn't see anyone paying to be honest. They are more strict about the dress code. For all the women who are wearing little shorts (perhaps a little cheek is just about to show or is showing) you will definitely be asked to cover up. If you're wearing a spaghetti strap top/dress... I suppose this large Cathedral is worth a walk through. It certainly is impressive on the outside. But the inside is filled with a lot of mediocre art which I found distracted and spoiled the building. The cloister garden houses a flock of geese because of some legend attached to the saint which is the only nice distraction.
