Also called the Barcelona Cathedral, the Cathedral of Santa Eulalia is very close to the city centre Plaza Catalunya (walking distance). This Gothic cathedral is said to be the seat of the Archbishop of Barcelona, Spain and was constructed from the 13th to the 15th century. The interior of the cathedral looked awesomely beautiful and majestic especially the columns and... More

A striking church. Not in my top ten of cathedrals, but it does have live geese. You can go and found out why.

Just happen to walk around the corner and saw the cathedral so decided to check it out. Cost I think 5 euro to enter but was worth it. The cathedral is absolutely beautiful inside and I believe is the oldest in Spain. If you enjoy this kind of church/architecture I would recommend checking it out.

Funny how a person with a southern Baptist background can get so much enjoyment out of Catholic Cathedrals. I love the architecture and find it comforting that i was seated in a church which was started in 1298. If ever in Barcelona, go experience this Cathedral

This majestic medieval cathedral was started in the thirteenth century and finished in the fourteenth century. The Barcelona Cathedral is one of three majestic churches in Barcelona, Spain, a city noted for its magnificent churches and Art Noveau architecture. The Cathedral of Saint Eulalia, the church of Santa Maria del Mar and Antonio Gaudi's world renowned Sagrada Familia must stand... More

If this is the only place you see you must go. We're not Church goers but you can't fail to be impressed. Allow 2-3 hours to walk around and don't forget to go up on the roof.

Massive church--lots of tourists (like me) milling around. Couldn't quite get the feel of a really important cathedral. Sort of pales when compared to Sagrada Familia.

I am a big fan of Notre Dame. Whenever I'm in Paris I try to go there for Sunday's 10:00 am mass, just to hear the fabulous music. So no, I wouldn't say that La Seu is better than Notre Dame... but my wife would. Seriously, this is one of the most amazing gothic cathedrals in the world, and you... More

one of the most beautiful places we visited and the bonus was free entry. Simply breathtaking and the views from the roof were stunning.

The Cathedral of Santa Eulalia and its surroundings is a center of activity for Barcelona. The Cathedral itself is definitely worth seeing. We enjoyed the activities that occur around the cathedral even more. Those included the traditional sardana dance, and a huge food and wine festival, but most of all the amazing musicians who performed at different points around the... More
