It feels special when you enter that church. It's beautiful, outside and inside. This was really one of the most special church I visited. The area where it is located is really good too.

Not a modern cathedral like the sagrada familia, much more what you would expect from a cathedral in a big old European city. It's certainly worth checking out as you explore the gothic quarter of Barcelona. The only piece of advice - They are very fussy about how you are dressed when you enter the cathedral. Short shorts and sleeveless... More

A short brake for contemplation or relax in impressive interior of this church is a nice experience for everyone. A bit of disadvantage is that you has to buy the ticket for the entrance (like almost for every attraction in Barcelona..)

Perhaps it was a mistake to visit AFTER going to the Segrada Familia but at least there was no long queue to get inside. I was slightly surprised that I had to pay to go in but that seems to be the way of things now. It wasn't a bad price. Inside was much as you might expect of a... More

The church itself is nice, but not very stunning. And like what some other people said, just entering a church for praying should be free. I think it is fine to ask for donations for maintenance of the church, or have certain parts of it for tourists (e.g. tower, roof, etc.) that require entrance fee, but there should not be... More

Make sure you are dressed appropriately or you will be turned away. My daughter's shorts were a bit too short but they did offer her a scarf to use as a wrap so luckily we were able to enter. They don't allow spaghetti straps, tank tops on guys or short shorts or skirts so be warned. It is a beautiful... More

A beautiful cathedral but unfortunatly not free. This handicap of having to pay took away our top interest in enjoying it. I was surprised I had to pay to pray!

I see my comments are the same as the ones who put in bad ratings. I'm a Catholic. This means that any Catholic Church is my home. I don't pay to visit my home. Nor should I have to be forced to pay to visit a Cathedral. If I were asked for a donation for the upkeep of the church,... More

I entered from the cloister, it was quite different from the others I had seen (though Jerónimos Monastery's cloister is better)... a big garden in the center and a fountain too! the inside is also very interesting because of its beauty and history! it was here that Columbus's 5 american natives to be baptized!! great cathedral!!
