Impressive Cathedral

It is a magnificent imponent cathedral where you can spend 2 hours inside, just walking around the main hall. The surroundings streets are worth walking around.

Once you look around inside the cathedral, walk toward the rear on the left hand side. There will be an elevator that goes to the roof. The views of the city are unique from there

The whole building was just lovely....many chapels decorated lavishly. Did not like "electric candles" although I know this is very common in many large churches and cathedrals.

Beautiful inside and out. So much history. I really enjoyed the exterior shrines, fountains and geese. It is worth your time to spend some time in the square in front of the cathedral at dusk. There are street performs benches and all framed by the great cathedral.

if you have never seen a Gothic cathedral, or if you are a collector who wants to study every variation in existing cathedrals, then this is worth the visit. But as they say in Catalan jurisprudence, if not, not. For a history buff, the Christ of Lepanto (supposed to have saved himself miraculously) is worth the look, but even this... More

The cathedral is free to enter. It is beautiful inside with a small chapel for prayer. The cathedral includes a number of alcoves with beautiful shrines in each one and a guide to who it represents and the sculptor and painter. However, there wasn't really any explanation as to what they were for or why and no guide books on... More

this cathedral is very beautiful and the most authentic both in its medieval atmosphere on the inside and its gothic medieval architectural details on the outside . if you go to Barcelona , I would visit the cathedral before the more obvious sagrada famillia but BE WARNED DRESS APPROPRIATELY< NO SHORTS < REVEALING CLOTHES OR YOU WILL NOT GET IN.... Very interesting cathedral with a nice cloister and museum; I enjoyed watching the geese who were wandering around the cloister. I went there in the late afternoon and was lucky that there were not too many visitors and the afternoon light created a great atmosphere.

... I went when it wasn't so I had to pay for a lift ticket to get in, the view from the roof was nice but not really worth the money. The cathedral is nice enough but not really different from other European cathedrals. The cloister is very pretty, by far the best part of this building.
