Pay the fee and take the lift to the roof for some impressive views. It's worth the outlay so long as you're Ok with heights!

My first Cathedral in Spain and it was spectacular. ancient and the details will blow you away. I mean to be in the presence of something that was built in the 15 century... much different then anything we have in America.

The Catedral de Barcelona is another outstanding building in a city bursting with them. We arrived quite early in the day, beware the beggars on the steps to the entrance, as they are very persistent. We didn't have to pay an entrance fee, but instead we made a donation. The interior is amazing, there is a lift allowing access to... More

A must visit place for anyone with any interest in history/architecture of the City. A really fascinating Cathedral. Make sure you go up onto the roof - there's a lift from inside the Cathedral - no charge.

I had such a wonderful time here. I would recommend coming here even if it is just for mass. The architecture is astounding and the gardens are wonderful. It is a must see.

We were taking a walking tour through the city and visited the cathedral. It is very impressive from the outside. I think the admission cost was €7, which wasn't too bad I felt. Inside, the cathedral is even more impressive - the art, the design and the architecture are beautiful. There is also a lift that will take one up... More

A more holy place to visit than the Sagrada Familia, it feels every bit of its age, with some of the altar pieces dating back to the 1300s. Lots of small chapels each with its own alterpiece show the development in this art form over several hundred years. There is an interesting rather than pretty view from the roof over... More

It is FREE. So a lot of visitors. Unlike the Sagrada Familia, there are no lines. This is a must see. Be sure to go the el Barrio Gothic close by as the whole area has little gems from restaurants to shops to souvenirs. Its is located in a beautiful plaza with lots of people. The architecture is superb.

I thought the 7 euro admission fee for this church was a bit steep. The art is grand but kept behind bars.

Nice place to spend a little time in quite contemplation and the visit to the roof gives very good views over the city and surrounding area.
