Have seen a lot of more interesting churches, but the view from the top (by elevator, €3) was very nice so I'm glad we did take a look inside (didn't need to pay an entrance fee).

Amazingly poor shape; would be OK if we hadn't already visited so many amazing cathedrals in Spain but this was one was definitely on the lower end. Sad, actually.

No entry fee which makes it even more worth while to visit this fantastic Cathedral, which was not busy at this time of the year.

Beautiful Gothic structure. easy access and shorter lines. Go here just to see the difference. i was struck by how dark it is inside as compared to La Sagrada Familia. In any other city this would be a star attraction but in Barcelona it pales in comparison.

Very interesting architecture and design. It is enormous! Do not miss some views from outside front, aside and back.

the 7Euro admission was a reasonable price to contemplate one of the medieval delights of Barcelona, an inspiring example of what beauty man can create in response to his religiosity. From the central cathedral and its nooks and crannies, enjoy also the quietude of the courtyard with ancient well, stone walkways, tombstones, pond, ducks, palm trees and flowers

We found this cathedral very sombre. You really need to be interested in this period of architecture/religion to enjoy it. It would be a good place to cool off on a hot day.

There were at least five circles of dancers on the Sunday we were there. The live music added to it all. The Cathedral is worth visiting as well.

Great photo opportunities available at this incredible building, recommend taking the lift to the roof for some great sights.

Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences.
