It is a pretty large cathedral with a lot to see. Don't miss the yard with the pond, fountain, and geese. It is located in Barri Goti and very close to Les Ramblas and Placa Catalunya so it fits perfectly in a more general site-seeing. I combined this visit with a visit to Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar which... More

Cathedral is beautiful and has a wonderful courtyard with drinking fountain and white snow geese. Smack in the heart of old town.

This is a beautiful old church. I went for Sunday mass and it was lovely, the mass was quick and easy to follow in Spanish. Barcelona is warm in the summer, but a woman's arms must be covered, so ladies, make sure you wear a dress with sleeves. If you don't , there is a vendor selling shawls just outside... More

As we often are with basilica's of great magnificence in the great cities of the world, I was blown away by Catedral de Barcelona. I went to visit with my wife and 2 year old, and all of us (yes, even the little one) just gaped upon the structure with open jaws. Its magnificent is immediately obvious from the outside,... More

Lovely cathedral to take a wander around whilst exploring Barri Gothic. Don't miss the chance to go up to the roof and look over the city! Also keep an eye out for the geese in the outside area!

Loads of crypts to look around inside the main building and outside in the gardens. There is a lift to take you up to the roof where the scaffolding gives you access to various views of the city.

Outside the Cathedral is full buzz, performers, locals and tourists, people sitting at the steps smoking, but once inside it is simply breathtaking. Quiet. Peaceful. Majestic. I went the first day but I wasn't able to go in as I was wearing shorts. So i went back the next day (of course properly dressed) and it was all worth it.... More

This is more of a story than a review, me and my girlfriend were sat at the marina for about 30 minutes trying to work out how to get to the cathedral, we had a map out and couldn't work out the way, there was a man in his 50s or 60s and spoke little English and he tried to... More
