Based on reviews read here, I looked for a concert to see here while we were in town. We saw a guitar trio who were very good. The building is just incredible. So many beautiful details. The stained glass, the mosaics, the sculptures are all so amazing. If you are seeing a show, give yourself time to walk around inside... More

We went to see Mozart's Requiem. The sound was amazing, even though we had cheap last-minute seats and an obstructed view. There was so much to look at in the design that we never ran out of details to discover and look at, so we were okay with not being able to fully see the concert. One of the teens... More

First time in Barcelona, my husband and I decided last minute to make a night out of it. Both of us are big fans of flamenco. Even though, the art of flamenco is not native to Catalonia, and we have been to multiple flamenco performances back home in Chicago, we've enjoyed the performance very much. Palau de la Musica is... The building is very beautiful from both sides. It was recommended by our host in Barcelona and we decided to see a concert there. So we went to see and listen The concert for Four Guitars at noon. It was really entertaining and gave us the possibility to enjoy the beauty of the great hall for more than an hour.

Interesting guided tour but too expensive for the experience you get (I guess this is just like every other touristic attraction in Barcelona...)

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
