Displayed the works of Joan Miro really well, very good video of his life story. Overall very inspiring. There were a few other temporary exhibitions which seemed to take up a lot of the space, we skipped threw them as we only had two hours to get around before it closed. Things that could of been better, staff weren't very... More

We saw the Miro museum and the sculpture garden while we were on the deck of the hop on hop off bus your. It features some of Miros best works that can be viewed as you drive past it.

Great collection of Miro paintings, drawings and sculptures. As soon as you arrive and see the sculpture on the back patio with the glorious view of Barcelona behind it, you know you are in the right place. I particularly liked the tapestry in the first room which was unlike any miro work I had seen before. I enjoyed the audio... More

Before this trip, I really did not know much about Miro or his work. This museum was a great introduction, I really learned a lot. Very cool to have an entire building devoted to the work of one artist - quite a nice way to be exposed to the life and work of Miro. I actually preferred this collection to... More

This museum is specially designed and built to exhibit Joan Miro's work. Not many artists have that. It's a good place. Although Miro may not be my favourite artist, the exhibition gives a good insight into where he came from and where he went. There is a documentary film that is really good if you arent too sure of his... More

Jumped off the bus and used my Museum pass to yet again bypass the queues. Close to MNAC and the Olympic Stadium. When we visited there was much more work by other artists and whole place was difficult to get to grips with. Didn't work for me, glad I hadn't paid full price.

After breakfast in Poble Sec quarter we walked up the mountain to go visit the museum. This is already a great start of the day. We just visited the museum without the audio guide. The museum had a nice temporary exhibition of an artist called Roni Horn. The rest of the museum was nice discovery of Miro and his work... More

Miro is less of a "brand" name than Picasso so this museum attracts far fewer tourists but in terms of quality of works on display, this one has far higher quality things on exhibit... So for any Miro fan, it's a must-do pilgrimage.

This fabulous building houses an extensive selection of works spanning Miro’s lifetime. His prolific works utilise diverse mediums from paintings, sculptures, drawings to textiles. The vast collection of works are beautifully displayed, well spaced, not cluttered, with lots of open space and filled with light. Not overcrowded with people allowing you to take your time viewing works. Nice to be... More
