This museum is specially designed and built to exhibit Joan Miro's work. Not many artists have that. It's a good place. Although Miro may not be my favourite artist, the exhibition gives a good insight into where he came from and where he went. There is a documentary film that is really good if you arent too sure of his... More

Jumped off the bus and used my Museum pass to yet again bypass the queues. Close to MNAC and the Olympic Stadium. When we visited there was much more work by other artists and whole place was difficult to get to grips with. Didn't work for me, glad I hadn't paid full price.

After breakfast in Poble Sec quarter we walked up the mountain to go visit the museum. This is already a great start of the day. We just visited the museum without the audio guide. The museum had a nice temporary exhibition of an artist called Roni Horn. The rest of the museum was nice discovery of Miro and his work... More

Miro is less of a "brand" name than Picasso so this museum attracts far fewer tourists but in terms of quality of works on display, this one has far higher quality things on exhibit... So for any Miro fan, it's a must-do pilgrimage.

This fabulous building houses an extensive selection of works spanning Miro’s lifetime. His prolific works utilise diverse mediums from paintings, sculptures, drawings to textiles. The vast collection of works are beautifully displayed, well spaced, not cluttered, with lots of open space and filled with light. Not overcrowded with people allowing you to take your time viewing works. Nice to be... More

The museum has a lot to see and has a great collection of Joan Miro. If you're an art fan it's a must. Great for kids as well.

Excellent display of Miro's work, combined with a lovely roof top terrace displaying a great view of the city. We combined a morning visit to the museum with a trip up to Castle Montjuvic via the cable car in the afternoon. Excellent restaurant in the museum but if you want something a bit lighter there are a couple of terrace... More

This museum was really weird. Located in the Montjuic Park, we went because we bought an Articket and this museum was included in that. The temporary exhibit was quite strange and the art was just really weird. Look into this museum before you spend the money to go. I realize that everyone's tastes are different, but it was just really... More

Fascinating history of Miro and some of his contemporaries in an uncluttered and friendly museum. For once I actually appreciated the audio guide which had plenty of information but not too much.

Naturally this is a perfect museum to display Miro's works! It's airy and bright and a perfect way to spend a few hours walking through and discussing what you are seeing with a friend. The works are well displayed and the sculpture is done in a playful manner as one expects.
