We got a bus here from Placa Catalunya and enjoyed the trip through the city to Montjuic. The formal gardens at the top of the hill are exceptionally beautiful. We walked down afterwards next to a series of fountains to the archaeological museum. Arriving quite early, the Miro museum was not crowded, and we enjoyed the wonderfully set out paintings... More

Very good musem even if you don't like Miro. Quite expensive though. Handy to visit when journeying betweenMontjuic and MNAC or Placa Espanya or the Olympic Stadium.

We spent a couple of hours here viewing not only works by Miro but by Calder and others as well. We were only in Barcelona for four days and I'm glad we spent part of that time here.

This is a great collection of Miro. Even if you don't like modern art, it is worth the stop. Plan to spend about an hour and don't miss the outside collection. The museum itself is an architectural creation and the art displayed is intriguing. Don't miss taking a picture with the sculpture by the front door that reminds me of... More

Will confess that I had very little knowledge of Joan Miro before visiting... and was fascinated just learning more about his life, especially in and around World War II. Left Spain for France when Franco won the civil war, returned near the start of World War II as the Germans invaded. The art is well displayed... and when I visited... More

What a wonderful place. This was my second visit, having gone five years ago and I loved every minute of it. If 20th century art or the works of Miro aren't your thing then take a pass but I would encourage anyone to give it a try. The building, the history, the art is fabulous and then there is the... This spot is not only for art enthusiasts, I think there is so much to gain from his creations and his life. This is a comprehensive exhibit of the man that was perhaps the equivalent of Picasso.

Absolutely worth a visit up the funicular to the Fundacio Miro. It is a wonderful collection of the artist's work and a few other small exhibits. You can experience the breadth and depth of this master's work and come away with a greater appreciation of his work.

I made a great deal of effort to get to this museum, but in the end it was not worth it. Turns out I am not a huge fan of Miro's art.Butility if you are, you will ♥♥♥ it here. Good gift shop too.

Well, they prohibit photographs. Keep the jerks out. Seventy five percent of the works are not behind glass. You see what Miro saw, not a reflection of the person behind you. Miro is a twentieth century giant, an equal of Picasso and far more dazzling. Brilliant stuff, simply brilliant. There were few people in the building. Maybe the first time... More
