I made a great deal of effort to get to this museum, but in the end it was not worth it. Turns out I am not a huge fan of Miro's art.Butility if you are, you will ♥♥♥ it here. Good gift shop too.

Well, they prohibit photographs. Keep the jerks out. Seventy five percent of the works are not behind glass. You see what Miro saw, not a reflection of the person behind you. Miro is a twentieth century giant, an equal of Picasso and far more dazzling. Brilliant stuff, simply brilliant. There were few people in the building. Maybe the first time... More

This is a must see- comprehensive museum following Miro's life and art mirroring his views on Spanish history. I recommend taking the Metro to Parallel stop and in the same location - no additional fee-the funicular will bring you up to Montjuic- turn left and walk downhill for about 2 minutes. Allow about two hours with the excellent audio guide.

We found this a little hard to find but glad we did. There was a Roni Horn exhibition on (we found out that Miro wanted the museum to not only feature his work but contemporary artists as well). We loved that, it was really interesting (but the books on sale in the shop were so expensive - we found them... More

This is a prime location in this already so marvellous city. The Building alone (José Luís Sert) proves the common prejudice that mid-century modernism is cool, abstract and intellectual wrong. It is "abstract" but so sensual and placed onto the site so very carefully. Excellent exhibition of contemporary artists and if they'd be not Excellent you could always fresh up... More

Very good museum with modern touch. The movie in the basement cinema gave us understanding his time line of his production and life.

A stunning building and museum. The Miro's are amazing and curated beautifully. This is a must. There food in the cafeteria is ok (dry!) but all the staff very polite and friendly. A great view of the city and in a beautiful park.

one of the museums you have to visit, nice architecture, and a very interesting collection. There is a bus stop directly in front of the museum

Displayed the works of Joan Miro really well, very good video of his life story. Overall very inspiring. There were a few other temporary exhibitions which seemed to take up a lot of the space, we skipped threw them as we only had two hours to get around before it closed. Things that could of been better, staff weren't very... More

We saw the Miro museum and the sculpture garden while we were on the deck of the hop on hop off bus your. It features some of Miros best works that can be viewed as you drive past it.
