This was one of the highlights of our trip to Barcelona and you really can't go to Barcelona without seeing the church - inside and out. It is completey different from any church anywhere else. There is a line that wraps around the building, which takes about 2 hours to get through. Just purchase your tickets online (through the Sagrada...

The Que to get in was so long, we were in Paris for 2 days so we couldn't waste time waiting. so we just looked from outside.
I guess its a 'must see' but the lines are long for 'just another church'! The outside is the best and no lining up is necessary for that!
If you can see only one thing in Barcelona, then this is it. The scale is enormous, and it must be experienced in person. It's very simple to get too - right off a metro subway stop. The line was long, but went quick - about 45 minutes and worth it!
A must see while visiting Barcelona. The place itself left me speechless. I`ve always been a fan of Gaudi but had never gotten a chance to see his work in person and I was more than satisfied. Take lots of pictures and videos and be sure to buy your tickets online beforehand or be prepared to wait hours in line...

We went there on the Hop On and Hop Off bus. Every time during the the lineups were around the block. If you go in the evening after 6 pm there is barely any lineup. You do not need more than 2 hours to see it.
We visited about 8.30 in evening, liked it as great time as meant we could take photos with no people on. Disliked cost to go in, but as a Sunday when we went there was a service and we just went in, couldn't walk around or take photos as that would have been disrespectful.
Buy tickets from an ATM before hand to skip the long line. We did this and it worked very smoothly. Also be sure to wear no shorts or tank tops.
Very special project which has been going on for more than half a century. I have seen it in the studs in the sixties/seventies and now it's almost finished. Very special - need to book tickets in advance by internet absolutely-otherwise very long wait.
