We're not about historic facts and the same daily routines that characterise other bike tours. We're about getting on a bike and exploring the hidden corners of the city, like flea markets, futuristic skyscrapers, vintage shops, secret courtyards and local beaches...Our guides are young, knowledgeable locals who were either born in Barcelona or have lived here for several years. We like to talk about the real experience of life in the city, modern politics, culture and stories. But most of all we like to have a fun relaxing day out on a bike with our new friends... you! We ride with a maximum of 8 people, although most tours are private... so you'll never feel like just another tourist on the treadmill. See you in Barcelona! « less

Our tour guide Maria was great. No better way to see Barcelona. Not touristy but still saw all those places that we wanted to see. Perfect amount of historical background and other stuff. Even my teenagers never got bored. Stopped for lunch at an obscure empanadas place that was delicious. More

Thank you, thank you to Maria our lovely and very well informed tour guide for this trip - Simon and I both agree that this alternative tour of Barcelona was definitely the highlight of our trip! We did wish that we had booked it for our first day though as we came away with a list the length of my... More

This was the highlight of my recent trip to Barcelona. Our guide, David, spoke excellent English and mixed the right amount of information, history and humour into our tour. The bikes were very comfortable "sit up and beg" types and I guess we cycled 15-20 miles in the four hours. Most of the route was on traffic free cycle lanes,... More

This was our first main activity upon arriving to Barcelona and had a great ride with David. We are not usually fans of touristy guided tours by any means, but this was a very personalized bike ride that gave us a much better sense of the city. David was super accommodating and showed us some cool local hangouts that we... More

We had a great time biking through Barcelona with our tour guide, Duncan. It was a great way to see some really unique parts of the city (that we probably wouldn't have got to seen otherwise) and it was fun to meet some of the other people in our group as well. It was great not having to walk everywhere... More

I took this tour with a group of 6 friends and it was fantastic. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable and we went off the typical tourist trail as well as taking in some tourist sights. We went to a few locals only places too. An awesome way to see the city and I recommend it to anyone. Great Fun... More

The Steel Donkey Bike Tour was a good introduction to get the lay of the land in Barcelona for those who'd rather be active than board a bus. The cost is absolutely reasonable (includes bike rental and a guide for 4+ hours), and there is enough flexibility to accommodate specific interests. I loved breezing past many of the impressive city... More

Hi Sleugers, thanks for your review. We read it a while ago and have since addressed the problem you raised in a team meeting... but I just wanted to write to let you know that we've taken your feedback on board! Within a couple of hours of landing from NY, I met Caroline at Calle Ataulf for a private bike tour of Barcelona. From Las Ramblas to Gracia and everywhere in between, Caroline shared her insights on Barcelona's culture and lifestyle. I really enjoyed her insights on Gaudi and the many Guadi buildings spotted during our tour. We also stopped for... More

We were so fortunate to find this bike tour company and the guide we had, Caroline, was very resourceful, full of knowledge and a delightful person. Our 5 hour tour on very comfortable bikes took us to places in Barcelona we would not have seen.....we rode to parks that aren't tourist parks and saw how people in Barcelona really live.... More
