Description: The city's first gastronomical tapas tour, The Barcelona Taste is about...
The city's first gastronomical tapas tour, The Barcelona Taste is about food. And lots of it! On this 2-3 hour food tour we stop in 3-4 small food establishments in either the famous Gothic or the lovely Gracia neighborhoods of Barcelona. Our venues range from high-quality specialty shops to home-style tapas restaurants, each one with its own scrumptious specialties for you to taste. A knowledgeable and very friendly guide will safely lead you through this labyrinth of a neighborhood, all the while sharing stories about Barcelona life, food, and history. You will enjoy all the cuisine, and, due to the small size of the group, you will also enjoy a more personal, relaxed experience.

We had a rubbish selection of food, forced our tour guide to get more than 250ml drinks at locations, food awful and over rated on this site, was it due to holiday period? who knows but felt ripped off.

We took this tour on our first night in Spain and we thoroughly enjoyed it! We were introduced to many delicious, traditional Spanish tapas that we may not have tried had we been on our own. We also enjoyed some delicious drinks along the way! Each of the restaurants we went to were very good and full of character. Catherine... More

We did the tour the night of our first day in Spain. It was excellent. It is now day five and they were likely the best tapas we've had so far! With such a small group and awesome guide, we had a great time.

Spent a great evening with John and a very eclectic group of people sampling some of Barcelona great little bodegas. Food and wine was fantastic. It gave me a little taste of life in such a beautiful city.

We took the Gotico tour on our first evening in the city thinking it would be a good way to get familiar with the area and the experience of local restaurants. Our tour was with Claire and it was great. She did a good job of bringing all 6 of us together in conversation and making sure everyone got something... More

My husband, teenaged daughter and myself enjoyed a wonderful evening with Jo on July 30! We started out at a local cheese shop owned by Katherine where we sampled three delightful cheeses and a glass of wine. It was educational as well as tasty! Next stop a very small family owned spot where we enjoyed several savory dishes including peppers,... More

A highlight of our trip, and a MUST. An intimate tour, at wonderful off-the-beaten path places. Great food and drink (and plenty of it), but the best part was experiencing it with our guide, Tito. He was incredibly knowledgeable about food, wine, and everything Barcelona/Spain. He shared a ton of great insights about a range of things--history, food, wine-making, politics,... More

Like others we were in Barcelona for a few days before a cruise. I checked trip advisor for tours and this one jumped out. We lucked out as Joe was showing family and friends around as well as us. We visited four establishments, starting with cheese and wine and ending with cava and dessert. In between was a fine selection... More

We took this tour with Joe as our guide and enjoyed it immensely. Not only was the food varied and wonderful, we learned a lot about the neighborhood as we strolled through the Gothic quarter. I was stuffed by the end and had plenty to drink along the way between the wine, vermuth, cava and chocolate milk! We went back... More

Our group of 5 adults was arriving on Saturday afternoon into Barcelona and we wanted to do a small group walking tour to familiarise ourselves with local cuisine. After reviewing a range of tours online I booked The Barcelona Taste, Gracia tour which started at 7pm. Our guide Tito met us at the prearranged meeting spot right on time. Although... More

Staying in Montjuic

Neighborhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colorful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
