Description: The city's first gastronomical tapas tour, The Barcelona Taste is about...
The city's first gastronomical tapas tour, The Barcelona Taste is about food. And lots of it! On this 2-3 hour food tour we stop in 3-4 small food establishments in either the famous Gothic or the lovely Gracia neighborhoods of Barcelona. Our venues range from high-quality specialty shops to home-style tapas restaurants, each one with its own scrumptious specialties for you to taste. A knowledgeable and very friendly guide will safely lead you through this labyrinth of a neighborhood, all the while sharing stories about Barcelona life, food, and history. You will enjoy all the cuisine, and, due to the small size of the group, you will also enjoy a more personal, relaxed experience.

We went on the Gracia Tour with Jo last night and had a fantastic time. Jo was so gracious and knowledgeable; it was like going out to dinner with a long-time friend who knew the perfect little spots for all of the tastiest treats. She took us to three different restaurants, each with its own spin on traditional Catalan cuisine.... More

All the reviews are correct. Sometimes you read reviews and think well ok that sounds like fun. But believe me they are all correct. Jo and Jon made if fell like you were out with your favorite cousins that you had not seen in a while. The food was great. My only regret was that we did not do this... More

We would thoroughly recommend this tour. We did this tour on our first night in Barcelona and were introduced to some eating establishments which served us an excellent variety of Tapas. Jon and Jo gave full explanations of each dish, they were all very tasty. There was a choice of drinks at every stop, alcoholic or non alcoholic. There were... More

My husband and I took the El Gotica tapas tour back on November 22, 2015. We had signed up for the tour for our first night in Barcelona. It was the perfect introduction to the city. Jo was an amazing guide, who brought us to wonderful local stops and was a wealth of local knowledge. We couldn't have hoped for... More

Highly recommended! I am lucky enough to be here in Barcelona for 2 months, and I just took the Barri Gotic tour after a month of living right in the Barri Gotic itself. I was happily surprised and impressed to find that every restaurant and every item on the menu was new to me. Our guide Jo was full of... More

My wife and I took the Gótico tour on Sat Feb 14th along with a bunch of strangers and our wonderful guide Catherine. By the end of the night not only were we all full of tremendous grub and excellent drink, we were all laughing and chatting like he hadn't met a few hours earlier! I couldn't fault the tour... More

This tour was brilliant - we really got a taste of what Catalunya and Spain has to offer. The tour itself introduced us to the hidden gems of Barcelona. Our host, Catherine, was very enthusiastic, knowledgeable and had a great vibe about her. 10/10 . I loved that we could order whatever drink we wanted at every place, as usually... More

This was an extremely delightful evening of foodie & bodega hopping with Jo, a wonderful guide through the cobblestone type streets through the Gothic area of Barcelona. The tapas & drink were wonderful and it was the perfect mix of fun conversation and lighthearted learning. I definitely recommend The Barcelona Taste if you want to have a great evening.

I can't speak highly enough of this tour. We had Catherine as our host guide and she was warm and knowledgable, and full of enthusiasm. We enjoyed lots of delicious food, some lovely vermut, wine and cava and all in the delightful atmosphere of cosy bodegas in the Gothic quarter. It was so good that we tried to book on... More

We had wanted to experience local tapas, but with a bar on every corner, we found the choice overwhelming. The friendly folk at The Barcelona Taste took the challenge of choosing out of our hands and gave us a most memorable night. We chose the Gracia tour as we were staying in the Barri Gothic and wanted to explore somewhere... More

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
