Description: The city's first gastronomical tapas tour, The Barcelona Taste is about...
The city's first gastronomical tapas tour, The Barcelona Taste is about food. And lots of it! On this 2-3 hour food tour we stop in 3-4 small food establishments in either the famous Gothic or the lovely Gracia neighborhoods of Barcelona. Our venues range from high-quality specialty shops to home-style tapas restaurants, each one with its own scrumptious specialties for you to taste. A knowledgeable and very friendly guide will safely lead you through this labyrinth of a neighborhood, all the while sharing stories about Barcelona life, food, and history. You will enjoy all the cuisine, and, due to the small size of the group, you will also enjoy a more personal, relaxed experience.

The tapas tasting tour with Joe was really great, Joe is a great guide that shares his knowledge on the food ingredients and related cultural elements gracefully while you take a bite from the next tapas. Highly recommended.

We did the Gracia tour with Catherine - we were lucky enough to be the only 2 on the tour that night, and it truly felt like we were going out for the night with a great friend. Catherine was genuine and friendly, and also had a great knowledge of both the country and its cuisine. We went to 3... More

I took the Gracia Tour with a friend and it was a delicious and fun evening. Catherine, our host was knowledgeable about the area, the food, restaurants and made you feel like you were dining with friends. We had plenty of food and drinks on the tour and were very full by the end. If you are keen to get... More

Our evening with Jo touring el Barrio Gotíco was certainly a highlight of our time in Barcelona. The food was incredible and we loved venturing out to authentic restaurants that were very much a part of the heart of Barcelona. We appreciated that the group size is limited to six people, allowing us to get to know everyone in our... More

Prior to my arrival in Barcelona, my 21 year old daughter booked this tour for the two of us and two friends. I worried that it would be awkward dining, walking, chatting with someone that we didn't know. But - all concerns were immediately allayed when we met Jo and launched into our 3 tapas restaurant tours. Each restaurant was... More

We went on The Barcelona Taste not just once but twice and tried out two different Barcelona neighborhoods! Both tours were fun and completely different. It feels like you are going out to the bars with old friends. I highly recommend doing it to get a sense of authentic tapas and spirits. Both guides were terrific (Jo Marvel and John).... More

I'm very full and very content. My friends and I booked a Gràcia tour with The Barcelona Taste. Jo was our guide on an atmospheric rainy evening in my favorite neighborhood. We started of with traditional Catalan tapas and vermouth at a local stand-by. The tapas and the drinks just kept coming. I wish I had been warned to "pace... More

We arrived in Barcelona at 6 am their time, took a nap, and went to the Gothico tour on our very first night there. Our tour guide was Jon and we were extraordinarily lucky in that only my husband and I were in attendance. Please note that they give you a place to meet and that their are other tours... More

We went on the Gracia Tour with Jo last night and had a fantastic time. Jo was so gracious and knowledgeable; it was like going out to dinner with a long-time friend who knew the perfect little spots for all of the tastiest treats. She took us to three different restaurants, each with its own spin on traditional Catalan cuisine.... More

All the reviews are correct. Sometimes you read reviews and think well ok that sounds like fun. But believe me they are all correct. Jo and Jon made if fell like you were out with your favorite cousins that you had not seen in a while. The food was great. My only regret was that we did not do this... More
