Description: Spanish Trails was born in 2001 as one of the first small group (max. 8...
Spanish Trails was born in 2001 as one of the first small group (max. 8 pers.) day tour companies and incoming travel agencies to experience the best of what Barcelona and all of Catalunya, Spain have to offer. Our year-round, regularly scheduled day tours are all-inclusive fully guided all day experiences, though guests are more than welcome to explore on their own. We cover the corners of Catalunya including the Costa Brava, Pyrenees, Girona, Montserrat and Penedes and Priorat wine regions, as well as half and full day Barcelona city tours and food & wine tours. We also specialize in customized family tours, private touring and small group events. We use comfortable touring vans and our staff are fun, experienced local guides with a deep love and knowledge of the regional history and culture. Average group size in 2011 was 5 clients/tour and we have now proudly served over 13,000 clients over the last 12 years. See you soon! The Spanish Trails team.

We were so fortunate to use Spanish Trails with our fabulous guide, Andrew Wilson, to visit Montserrat. Andrew was knowledgable, funny, and fun to be around. He gave us choices of different things to do and he took us to the BEST restaurant ever - BO2. You must do this excursion if you are anywhere near Barcelona and be sure... More

Spanish Trails was recommended to us by couple that had used you in the Fall so I expected that you would be amazing. And you were!!!!! What a relaxing day- terrific guide, comfortable transport, and two delightful wineries. I know we were off season with peak wine tasting but Spanish Trails made the very best of it and did not... Spanish trails booking wine trail: our guide Albert was absolutely friendly and cheerful! . He took us around vineyards, wineries and biking through the Penedes mountain side. The biking was not very taxing and whenever uphill biking was involved, Albert was patient with us and quite helpful. The wineries were quite informative about the history of wine and Cava in... We did the "Tasting Barcelona: Food & Wine Tour" on a Sunday afternoon and were thoroughly delighted with our time with Aurora! We enjoyed delicious food and drink, and a walk through all the interesting neighbourhoods of Barcelona with an intriguing and engaging insider...what more could we ask!? Aurora took us to five (or six? - we lost count!) cafes... More

We took the daytrip to the Priorat Wine Region, visited 3 wineries and had lunch at the second one. Andrew, our guide, was really knowledgeable about the region, wine and the history of the area. We met with the winemakers, had lots of very good wines and a very traditional catalanian lunch. It was one of the best days of... More

From the highly rated reviews, we decided to ask Spanish-Trail to host us during our 2 and a ½ day stay in Barcelona. This is one of the best decisions we have made with regards to visiting a place “as locals”. Based on the recommendations from Danny, my contact, we signed up for the City Tour, Food and Wine Tour... My husband and I took the Spanish Trails Monserrat and Wine Country Day Trip. We were concerned that it was a rainy day and that the trip might not be enjoyable because of that. We were so wrong! Our guide Saskia was delightful and very knowledgable. Montserrat had a certain mystic quality in the rain and fog. We visited La... More

We are a family with 4 boys aged 18-23 and this was a great trip, Richard our guide was the best! He was a pleasure, very knowledgeable and fun to spend the day with. My sister and I just came back from a trip to Barcelona. We decided on a whim to take a day tour to Costa Brava/Girona with Spanish Day Trails. Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
