Excellent trip out to Codorniu with cellar tour underground of 34 kms of tunnels to store the famous Cava, followed y tasting! Then further trip up to Mont Serrat!! Beautiful views and very informative guide! Then we finished the afternoon at La Sagrada - informative but very busy and difficulty hearing tour guide even with headphones on! Long day but... More

My wife and I did the BGB Montserrat and winery tour. From the very start we were welcomed so warmly. The whole day was brilliant. The first stop was the Codorniu winery, where they make cava, Spain's version of champagne. This was absolutely amazing. Going down to the caves, trips via a little train system and a great tasting at... More

we took a tour with http://www.barcelonaguidebureau.com/guided-tour-the-montserrat-tour and it was terrific, the guide and travel well arranged and we recommend if time is short to use them. however on reflection we would suggest if you have the time to do it yourself on the local train to the fenicular station and possibly use the cable car as this would add to... The Barcelona Guide Bureau prepared a fantastic visit of Montserrat and the Codorniu winery. Our guide was extraordinary, speaking at least 4 languages and giving us a cultural tour on the way to the mountain! What a wonderful day!

This is pretty much what you'd expect in visiting a monastery - dramatic, pristine, well cared for. An easy trip from Barcelona - better on a guided tour.

guide could have been more informative and better educated about the history. A/ c coach was very comfortable. could have had more time at the Spanish city up on the hill.

Great tour of Gaudi's Casa Batllo' and the Sagrada Familia church. Excellent and knowledgeable tour guide Noria. Very fluent in English, and very helpful. They had trouble with their wireless devices not broadcasting a long enough distance, but they know no are working on that problem. Highly recommend this tour. Meets at Placa Catalun

we took 3 different tours: 1. Gaudi tour with the sagrada Familia. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and did an excellent job in detailing the history of the cathedral but more importantly how the personality and philosophy of the architect was expressed in his work. Very much worth the time and a great value also 2. Visit to Dali... More

What great tours. The use of the whisper system to hear the guides was fabulous. The ease we moved through each location was great. The knowledge of our guides was fabulous. We initially booked just for a half day tour of Gaudi which included visiting Casa Batlló and Sagrada Família. We were so impressed we booked another tour - Picasso... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
