Don't leave Segovia without experiencing this delightful spot of culture and History. The Plaza is a fascinating spot to see and be seen. The shops and cafe's are a wonderful way to spend a couple of hours drinking in the flavor of Spain. During our last visit, on a Saturday, a Brass Band was offering a free concert in the... More

After visiting the cathedral and Alcazar take time to relax at one of the many cafes that line the Plaza Mayor.

Another Plaza Mayor! not the best, Salamanca is better but still a traditional plaza to eat & drink while admiring the surrounding historical buildings. The bar prices are reasonable compared to the rip off in Madrid!. the plaza has many roads leading off to the historical city so be careful as traffic does pass thru so careful when taking those... September was a great time to visit as the weather was not too hot and there were not lots of people about so taking photos was good. This is near the aqueduct and tourist information.

We stayed right on the plaza Mayor and it was bustling with cafes and music and activities. Lots of children running around while their parents sipped cocktails at an outdoor cafe. Great people watching!

Having coffee and cake here felt like it was a movie set. Somewhat expecting James Bond to do a car chase scene. What's missing was someone playing Spanish guitar music in the background. Beautiful square.

Lots of excellent restaurants at reasonable prices. Very busy but if you like people watching then it is perfect. Keep a look out for, and try, suckling pig We did and it was scrumptious. The Cathedral looks stunning when lit up at night. What didn't I like? We did not have enough time there!

Dominated by the cathedral this is a beautiful plaza with abundant charm. We would have liked more time to have wandered around but the cathedral was calling

It is difficult to avoid the Plaza Mayor. You pass it in order to visit the Cathedral and the Alcazar beyond. There are many restaurants with tables outside. On the afternoon that we were there, it was a busy summer day. Many tourists were enjoying their sangrias, as did I. What a lovely setting for a drink.

We walked around and didn't find anything there that drew our attention. There were a few restaurants. It just felt old and tired. The Segovia cathedral is at the west end of the plaza and is the architectural highlight of the place.
