Having coffee and cake here felt like it was a movie set. Somewhat expecting James Bond to do a car chase scene. What's missing was someone playing Spanish guitar music in the background. Beautiful square.

Lots of excellent restaurants at reasonable prices. Very busy but if you like people watching then it is perfect. Keep a look out for, and try, suckling pig We did and it was scrumptious. The Cathedral looks stunning when lit up at night. What didn't I like? We did not have enough time there!

Dominated by the cathedral this is a beautiful plaza with abundant charm. We would have liked more time to have wandered around but the cathedral was calling

It is difficult to avoid the Plaza Mayor. You pass it in order to visit the Cathedral and the Alcazar beyond. There are many restaurants with tables outside. On the afternoon that we were there, it was a busy summer day. Many tourists were enjoying their sangrias, as did I. What a lovely setting for a drink.

We walked around and didn't find anything there that drew our attention. There were a few restaurants. It just felt old and tired. The Segovia cathedral is at the west end of the plaza and is the architectural highlight of the place.

We had lunch here looking at the cathedral. It is really a great place even if it is EXTREMELY touristy. Look beyond that...just enjoy it.

When we were there on 19 Jun, there was a bazaar selling all sorts of stuff from clothings, shoes, flowers to fruits. Nearby there is a beautiful cathedral but most of us just stayed to shop.

Watch the pickpockets but this is a fun place. There are some great picture opportunities and nice shops along the way. The street leading between the aqueduct and the Alcazar has the best places to shop IMHO.

It does seem like every town in Spain has a plaza called Plaza Mayor and they all start looking similar after a while. It is a good looking square with shops and restaurants, but I wouldn't be seeking it out. Shopping is not my thing. You'll see it if you visit Cathedral since it is located right next to Plaza... Shop till you drop. So many interesting shops and bars and cafes. It is full of everything you would want. Get the Husbands credit card girls and enjoy yourselves.
