With its numerous restaurants maybe you will be lucky and catch the pianist who plays there late Sunday evenings. Also nice view of the cathedral !

Great restaurants and shops around the Plaza. One day we visited there was a market with all sorts of vendors selling scarves, fruits, vegetables, etc.

The Plaza Mayor has a beautiful design. It is quite big and when we went there was a market. On one side is the Town Hall, which was designed by Pedro de Bizuela in 1609. Another side of the Plaza Mayor has the Teatro Juan Bravo, built in 1918. This is the theater where the city has cultural events.

I'm not sure why some reviewers are praising this plaza for its size, because it certainly felt smaller and more compact than many others in Spain, much less Europe. It is still a charming plaza, with several old dining establishments still giving visitors a gastronomic treat. My wife and I had our lunch at La Concepcion, and it was quite... More

Every old town seems to have their Plaza Mayor, and this one is no exception. It is the social center of old Segovia and there are many nice restaurants and gathering places around the plaza, including the beautiful old Cathedral of Segovia. Visit at night to feel the vibe of the city.

All the excitement and chaos of Madrid is an hour away by car or 30 minutes by train making Segovia a perfect base for seeing this area of... More

Magical setting both daytime and nighttime, when the cathedral is illuminated against the night sky. You can sit in one of the many outdoor cafes and restaurants and soak up the atmosphere and watch the world go by,

Since this is the centre of town from here you can easily get to all the sights. We came during market day so the place was full of stalls selling apparel and fresh food. It's a pleasent spot with a clean cut design but too be honest not much different looking to other Plaza Mayors in spain.
