Magnificent building. The light inside is fantastic. Some of the best stained glass that I've seen. Very good audio tour. Not cheap to get in and no discount for pilgrims, (€5). Don't forget to walk around the outside to look at the fantastic architecture.

You have got to see this cathedral to believe it. Stain glass windows are second to none. The use of colour in this windows is so extraordinary that the Mansilla and Tunon copied them in the exterior decoration of the MUSAC museum in Leon itself.

The audio tour was very useful to explain what you are seeing. I could imagine that Sunday mass with the choir singing would be quite amazing.

The audio tour in this cathedral was really interesting for a tourist like me who isn't Catholic but wants to know about the history of the building.

We stayed here after travelling to northern Spain for a family wedding. To be honest I hadn't expected the City to contain as much as it does. The Cathedral is truly beautiful with stunning stained glass windows and audio tours included in the entrance fee. But do explore the City and the many other attractions. At night the Plaza Major... This cathedral apart for being huge is very beautiful. It looks great in the evening when until midnight there are some lights that makes this cathedral even more impressive!

I would visit Leon cathedral for the stained glass windows alone. I think they are jewelled masterpieces. Fitted on the upper windows along the nave and on the east, west, north and south, the windows lend a mysterious atmosphere internally. The darkened internal space of the cathedral dances with coloured light whose brightness changes depending on the movement of the... More

A simply love this place, the cathedral is monumental, this is the real Spain. Everything is real, nothing is adjusted for tourists. You have to try tapas in whatever tapas bar (Jamón Jamón is the best) and then enjoy the atmosphere of the city.

What a beautiful city this is. The real Spain, if it had not been for my child attending the university here we would never have visited, but my how pleased I am that we did. Very few spoke English ,all Spanish speaking, but really lovely people, the men dressed so smartly & the women are so chic, beautifully turned out... More
