I have never seen such a nice / Hugh cathedral like that one. Every corner shows art on it's best. Take your time to walk through the cathedral. And if you're very interested in the history and the art, then triple the time. At the beginning I didn't understand why they charge an entrance fee for a church. But now... More

to lose the beggars at the door as this is totally unacceptable and seems to be condoned or encouraged by the church

Very beautiful. If you get to Burgos, You must visit. Astonishing ceilings, art, statues and colored windows The highlight is the Condestable Chapel but there are a lot of other points of interest. Don't forget to watch the "Papamoscas" and the beautiful "Rosacea colored window" inside the cathedral. The visit takes at least 1 hour and 30 minutes. If you... More

You are almost certainly in Burgos because of the cathedral and it's no surprise that it's the number 1 attraction in the town. Burgos cathedral isn't the largest cathedral in Spain (that's in Seville) and it's also not the oldest (where that is is open to debate). But it's the only cathedral (anywhere?) that rates a Unesco world heritage listing... More

Seen from afar, we were unfortunately too late to go inside but could view the exterior from three plazas. It is an inspirational structure in the Gothic style - the impressive main facade, lacy spires, carvings and sculptures. Well worth a visit

A UNESCO site, the cathedral was heavily restored since the 60s. Absolutely MASSIVE, I recommend at least 45 minutes to walk around, and we spent 3.5 hours inside. Entry is €7 (including the earphones in English, which was good as one can walk at their own pace). Incredibly overwhelming detail to absorb (exterior and interior), I took hundreds of photos,... One of the greatest cathedrals in Spain. Full of fine ornaments and great architecture in the pittoresque old town, casco viejo. Cathedral is the main sight in Burgos. Do not miss it.

A lot of people but not too many, cathedral is bigger then it looks, 2 hours to see and study everything minimum, take the little train out side the church to see more of the city, as of this writing it cost 13.50 Euros for 3 people, well worth it.

Incredible, World-Heritage-listed cathedral that is full of sculptures, paintings, gold and colour - quite sensational and you shouldn't miss it if you are in Burgos.
