When the pope came to Spain a few years ago this was on his "must see" cathedral now having visited it we understand why.

Absolutely enormous cathedral, so well integrated into the city centre architecturally! Built over a number of levels with many ornate chapels. Allow at least 2 hours for your visit. Tip: I was doing the Camino de Santiago and had the "credencial" passport, so got in at a heavily discounted rate. Even at full price, it's well worth it!

One of the nicest cathedrals of Spain, but even if you are Catholic or a pilgrim they charge you to see it, maybe we have to start charging the churc to go to mass. I refused to pay to go into a place built with the contributions of all people and with the intention to be visited without getting charged... More

Grogeous cathedral. Wonderfully ornate chapels inside it - esp the Capella Santa Ana - wow. Many wonderful stone sculptures as fine as filigree, esp by the sculptor Gil de Siloé and of course tons of gold. The audio guide is worth having, although it is not particularly well written and the English speaker makes several mistakes, including not being able... More

Beautiful. Stunning views. We loved inside, outside, and walking all around the square. Every corner had a new view. Spectacular

Not being religious Is not a handicap in appreciating the craftsmanship, history, art and spiritual yearning and glorification of the mighty and once powerful catholic cult. This place has so many chapels you could were your knees out praying on the steps of a different altar for the entire month of February! What is magnificent is the stone and wood... More

Words and photos fail to capture the grandeur of this cathedral. The only way to appreciate it, is to visit and see for yourself.

Loved the architecture. The stone carvings are amazing and very well worth a visit. Walked part of the way on the pilgrims walk.
