No matter where you stand, how near or far, what angle, what time of day....you are going to notice something different about the cathedral each time you look at it. It is like a ornate piece of jewelry stuck in the middle of Burgos old town. I didn't pay for the interior because you can enter two of the large... More

Fabulous exterior and interesting interior. The audioguide was not as good as some and it was quite difficult at times to work out what was being describes.

Beautiful, rich cathedral, full of history and interesting items and facts, including the tomb of El Cid and his wife. Take your time to appreciate the various chapels and artwork, and make sure to make use of the audio tour you will get a lot out of it. Surrounding the cathedral there are numerous bars and restaurants as well as... More

As cathedrals go this is nice example of a Cathedral with a significant history dating back to the visigoths. Unless you want to stop at each chapel the visit does not take too much time.

The beauty of this newly restored Gothic cathedral will just astound you! The limestone walls have been cleaned inside brightening up the highly decorative interior. One is constantly looking around as well as up with mouth agape at the carved ceiling "eye candy"! In fact there is an antique clock high up in one of the areas of the church... More

The Cathedral was partly closed, but we could see almost all parts of it. It was very beautiful. We visited it early in the morning and then there were not too many people.

This title summarizes MY review of the magnificent structure. There are allot of cathedrals throughout many of the countries of Europe, and I believe I have seen 'my share' on private self tours and guided tours ( have you heard of the ABC TOURS---Another Bloody Cathedral-Another Bloody Castle?)...well, this has to be in my top 3. I loved everything about... More

We were going to take an overnight room in Burgos as we traveled between Madrid and Biarritz, France, then we read up on some of the things to do and added another night. This Cathedral enticed us to visit. I cannot think of an architectural design feature from the time period that was not used in this construction and subsequent... More

This was a fantastic cathedral. We only went inside after spending two nights in Burgos. We visited with an 11 yr one and a 14 year old. The audio tour helped keep them focused. There was so much to focus on too!!! Really Ian speechless you must visit this cathedral. We were inside for about two hours.
