The cathedral is not as large or as commanding to that of Salamanca but the district is beautiful. Enjoy it on a sunny afternoon as it takes a short time to take in all the sights. Be aware that museums close Mondays More

This cathedral will impress you on the outside and inside. A few years ago, they did a complete cleaning and restoration, so this baby sparkles. It's a Unesco World Heritage Site, so don't miss it. Its construction began in 1221 and continued until 1567. El Cid's remains are buried her along with his wife. Many wonderful chapels within. More

The Burgos Cathedral on the inside is even more spectacular than the outside. There are so many areas to explore and learn about. We didn't rent an audio guide because we had a limited amount of time,,,,but I do recommend you rent an audio guide. Note: The cathedral is un-heated and was quite chilly in early May. Suggest to bring... More

The cathedral is unique, the carving of the stone, the golden stairway so unique inside such a building. Toilet facilities lacking. More

One of the most spectacular cathedrals we have seen. They charge you admission. It was a big surprise to see the resting place of the Cid and his wife Jimena. More

This amazing cathedral just never stops amazing. It is filled with many, many Gothic chapels, each decorated differently in extravagant architecture splendor. I had never known of such a huge cathedral located in a relatively obscure Spanish town, Burgos, situated along riverside in the northern part of Spain. This is a site for ones interested in history, architecture, and religious... More

Magnificent looking outside but disappointing on inside as you can not access much of the inside by yourself. More

Impressive cathedral filled with Gothic statues. This is where El Cid is buried together with his wife. The main chapel has a richly gilded altar. Watch out for the clock when it strikes at 11:00 am. Clock can be found above the main door on the left side. More

The printed guide is very comprehensive, unfortunately some areas were under repair. Maily all important details are well lit, so photographing without flush is possible. More
