Strolling through these rows of trees along the river prepared us for the sight we were about to marvel. It was a very relaxing and scenic stroll. As we neared the Burgos Cathedral, there were restaurants and bars along the way, but located on the side and did not spoil the serenity of this pathway. There were fountains, statues and... More

The Paseo del Espolon is a long paved walk along the river under shady trees. If you are feeling weary, there are lots of benches to enjoy the views over the river from. Very well kept and very attractive. There are also bars and cafes on the other side of the road with outside seating facilities.

It's a lovely walk by the riverside with lots of trees providing much welcome shade in Summer. Nice ice-cream shops and bars at the side with plenty of benches.

Lovely place for a stroll. Have been through a couple of times and on the tourist train. Places to sit and relax. Nicely sheltered by the plane trees. Lots of nice statues - several with intact metal swords. Worth walking in both directions so as not to miss anything.

The Paseo is a good place to wind down in the evening. Lots of people walk along this park to enjoy the cool evening breeze and the fresh air.

Paseo del Espolon is a small tree lined promenade which runs along the Rio Arianzon on the cathedral side of town, the area is peaceful with fountains, statues and sculptured shrubs. Also worth walking is the Paseo Sierra de Atapuerca on the other side of the Rio.

Stroll along the river, stop at a cafe or bar, shop a little. This is the best place for a peaceful, traffic free walk.

Take your time and enjoy this ambient stretch of Burgos. Its fitting that the paseo del Espolon is in the pious city of Burgos; this pedestrian boulevard aptly showcases the beautiful and aesthetically-pleasing manipulation of plants - I visited in the late fall and it was immaculately well kept. Nice for a stroll after a nice glass of Ribera o... More
