Obviously the big reason to come here is for the view. Toledo is not a very large city to walk through but this place is a hidden gem. You must locate the church first, then pay admission, then find the stairway to the top of the tower. The reward of course is this wonderful and incredible view. This was my... More

Smaller than most churches in Toledo - it provides a beautiful, quiet space. Lovely Side altars. There are relics of a saint but the guides did not know who they belonged to.

This church is like any other catholic church in Spain. You would think once you have been in one church you have been in all....but guess again. This church offers the best view of historic Toledo and the Cathedral in all of Toledo. So, go and go up to the tower and take in the view. I suggest purchasing the... More

We didn't have long in Toledo, on the way to Madrid from Caceres via Trujillo. We parked underground in the Ave de la Cava, which was good with a car full of luggage (we backed it against the wall). We then went up the escalators to the old city and the heavens opened. Even with a good, strong umbrella we... More

We went to Iglesia de San Ildefonso for the panoramic views of Toledo, and they were just fantastic. We were pleasantly surprised at the beauty inside the church as well. BTW - we were told that it was only "4 flights of stairs" to the roof - its actually much more than that, but still very walkable, even by us... More

The church is impressive on the inside. Many images, paintings, and beautiful altarpieces. For those who wish, it is possible to climb up the tower for a fantastic view over the city of Toledo.

The church itself is very nice but not impressive. The reason to go is for the views you get once you climb up the towers. The views are not obstructed and you can easily see in all directions.

On our way back to the parking place we went down the “Calle San Román” and came across the Church of the Jesuits it has a nice worked façade, so we did not took the time to made a visit of the interior of the church, so we took some pictures from the outside, and took and advantage of visit... In the tourist office we received a voucher, letting us enter for eur 1.40 instead of regular price of 2.50. Nice interior, a little over-decoration to my taste. The greatest attraction was the tower with the view.

Gorgeous interior to this building and I took the time to sit in one of the pews and take it in before climbing the 138 steps to the top of the tower for some lovely views over Toledo. 3 euros entry well worth it.
