My visit to this place was really just for the view of the city. It is not to be missed! The church was charming and quaint. I admired it for it's simplicity in comparison to the other churches that I entered. Then, of course, it has the best view of the city from its towers. You have to climb several... More

Very gaudy interior, but undeniably pretty. Would have been surprised to find a Coke machine in a church if Lonely Planet hadn't warned me. Highlight was the views of the town from the tower. Stairs up and down are separate, a big plus, and it's a pretty moderate climb -- not on the typical windy old narrow staircases of many... More

Best view in Toledo and we tried several. The panoramas are not obstructed and the observation tower appears to be the highest point that the average tourist can ascend. The church as well is delightful ... Bright and with some excellent art work and architecture.

Beautiful church in Toledo, where for only €2.50 you can visit and climb to the top of the two towers at the front of the building for great views across Toledo and the Spanish countryside. Thoroughly recommended.

As many have noted, the towers provide an excellent view of the Toledo area. No elevator so you will need to climb the stairs. The climb is not bad unless you have major difficulties with stair climbing. The church reflects a 17th-18th century style, much like St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans, but seems modern compared to other Toledo churches.... More

This church in the center of Toledo is worth a visit. Certainly because you can climb up into the tower. From where one has a good view over the old town of Toledo. Good for some interesting pictures. The best vista in town. The climb up is not that difficult since excellent new metal staircases have been installed. Separate up... More

Visited on a Friday morning (part of the 8 euro wristband). I wanted to visit this church last time I was here, but it was crowded…this time, hardly anyone there. First off the church is lovely, but I like Jesuit churches, they are always bright and cheerful, very clean lines, pretty statues….simple, yet elegant. We went up to the towers.... More

I visited the Iglesia de San Ildefonso (Jesuitas) on a day-trip to Toledo, as part of my 7 full-day visit to Madrid, and enjoyed it a lot - especially as it (from my experience) offers unbeatable views of the city 'skyline' from it's large outside roof walkway. --- I have compiled extensive individual Trip Advisor 'Trip Lists' for both my... We didn't intend to come here during our visit, but dropped by as we were walking in the area. Entry is available either by ticket or as part of a multi entry card. It isn't well advertised and wasn't in any of our guidebooks. The walk up to the towers is fine, with metal stairs going around the inside of... More
