I enjoy going to cathedrals as I love the Architecture and carvings. This was most enjoyable to see and we paid extra to go up the tower, the bells in there are fantastic and the main one is huge. Worth a visit.

I'm an American and have been in Europe for most of the past few years. I stopped visiting churches, especially those charging admission. (With an occasional exception, such as for the Ghent Altarpiece.) I was simply a bit burned-out having seen so many. I know that may sound foolish. ANY research ahead of our daytrip to Toledo would have convinced... More

Obviously this is the main draw the the thing not to be missed when visiting Toledo. I highly recommend having a guide, there are so many intricate details that will otherwise be completely missed. We had hired a guide and that worked well for us, can't comment on what the audioguides are like but glad that we had someone to... More

We got the audio guide and went around the huge cathedral. I was shocked by the beauty of the choir stall and rich altar. Due to the dimensions and the number of interesting places inside the cathedral it is really recommendable a guide. Indeed, the audio one has limited information and sometimes a little bit boring.

This cathedral is hands down the most beautiful one I've visited in my life. Get the audioguide and be prepared to spend atleast 2 hours wandering up and down this masterpiece.

This gothic cathedral is very ornate and detail ridden. It was built in a gothic style, and it is very architecturally rich on the outside and the inside. The gold-leafed altar and chorus chamber are quite a site, but this is to be expected of a Cathedral of this magnitude. To me the most impressive is the woodwork in the... More

This cathedral is absolutely enormous. It is built in Gothic style and the architecture is breathtaking. The history behind it is also amazing. Construction started in 1226 under the rule of Ferdinand III and went on for more than two centuries. What's more, it is though that there was originally another church located in the same location before it. One... More

We weren't ready for this great little town with it's unbelievable Cathedral. We only had 1 hr to see it before it closed, that was for sure not enough time. The art work that is in that Cathedral is beyond words. It's a must see!

The price for the ticket -8 €- may seems high but this magnificent monument is worth than the price! Beautiful Gothic architectures, great pictures and frescos, masterpieces in wood and precious metals. Pictures also of authors like Goya, el Greco e Raffaello. I'm Italian and it is hard to say that this cathedral is a masterpiece of the same level... More
