The Cathedral of Toledo is an incredibly rich building. Everywhere you looked there was something beautiful to see. Lots of gold inlaid section. Include with that its own Art room. It is quite a site to see.

8EUR is a bit much for this. Sorry. it is a great sight and the audio tour is worth it. It includes a small museum with some art pieces as well.

I was expecting to see "just another European church" when I entered here, but I was totally blown away by this church. It is perhaps the most amazing church I have ever been in, and that includes St. Peters, in the Vatican City. The church is huge and in addition to all of the alters and sculpture there is an... The city itself is very impressive! it only 30 minute away from Madrid (by train - puerta the Atocha - 21 euro return ticket) - then in the right side of Toledo train station(witch is marvelous - combination of Mauro -spanish style) you can take the bus to the city center - approx. 1.5 euro one way ticket. The cathedral... More

A stunning cathedral in a stunning city.i went to Toledo on a hot summer's day and apart from the religious and historical significance I made a beeline into the super cool interior of this ancient place.

A quick day trip that was well worth time invested! Architecturally stunning, this beautiful cathedral still holds traditional mass, but also contains a stunning array of art, including works by Goya and Raphael. It is intricately detailed from top to bottom, particularly Capilla Mayor, and a beautiful mix of different styles. The choir and choir stalls are absolutely gorgeous. After... More

There is so much to see in this cathedral you will want to take your time. The Gothic architecture, the naves, the ceiling, the treasury, the vaults, the mythological figures in the sanctuary, all amazing. Don't forget to look up to see El Transparente, the skylight behind the high altar. The Chapel of the Treasure is where you will find... More

Well worth a visit but be prepared to get neck ache! The whole experience is interesting and informative especially with the commetary. Its easy to miss the Cloisters though, not so well sign posted.
