A very impressive cathedral steeped in history that is well worth guiding yourself around and investing in the audio tour.

You enter the Primate Cathedral of Saint Mary of Toledo (Spanish: Catedral Primada Santa María de Toledo) into a world of kaleidoscopic wealth and infinite space. The cathedral of Toledo is one of the three 13th-century High Gothic cathedrals in Spain and was begun in 1226 and completed many centuries later. Two of the most outstanding features of the Cathedral... More

Definitely a must see, the main attraction. Once you've seen the cathedral you end up walking around finding other little beauties. There's a great atmosphere in Toledo, it's a truly wonderful way to spend a day. Its obvious why this place is heritage listed, Loved it there!

The Cathedral of Toledo is just as maginficent and grand as St. Peters (the Vatican) in Rome in my opinion. You need a full day to really go through the Cathedral and listen to the recordings about each room. What can you say that hasn't already been said? We did a day trip from Madrid to Toledo that was recommended... More

Yes, you do have to pay about 8€ to enter, but it is definitely worth it. The Audie guide was very helpful, and included in the price. Because the cathedral is the seat of the archbishop, and given Toledo's past importance to Spain, it is exceptionally grand and they have amazing art in their museum - El Greco, Raphael, and... Toledo cathedral is a work of art that is well preserved and has a lot of good art all around. Worth a stop on the Toledo tour.

Visited the cathedral in August 2015 on a day visit. With limited time we opted for the €8 standard tour but for €11 you can climb the dome too. The price includes a useful audio guide. If you're visiting Toledo you're basically a fool if you don't make a stop here - it really is beautiful and includes a range... More

We paid 11 euros for visiting the cathedral and the tower (university discounts were not possible), we have visited other cathedrals in Spain and not paid such price and it isn't one of the most beautiful of them and it was crowded and noisy.
