When I was in Toledo, that little town made me felt like I'm back in time, walked through all that winding narrow streets and 3 cultures (Jewish, Christian and Muslims) in one town. The magnificent Toledo Cathedral is a place to visit. It is in Plaza de Ayuntamiento. In that little plaza, beside the beautiful Toledo Church, you also can... More

The City Hall building was designed by the famous architect Juan Herrera, who designed El Escorial. The building is elegant and there is a large plaza between it and the Cathedral. At the ground floor there is a tourist office where one can get a free map of the city.

Toledo is an amazing and beautiful Spanish city high on a table (see photos), that was once the capital of Spain, with a great deal to do and see in its busy streets, including a magnificent Cathedral. Our visit there was however 'made' in a most unusual way, when we came across a young lady busking by the Cathedral, playing... More

Toledo is so compact and densely built, finding a sizeable square in order to step back and better see the old architecture was a pleasant surprise and the space to stop without possibly blocking foot traffice helped us re-orient ourselves after consulting our map.

The Europeans and the Spanish in particular have done a great job in renovating and preserving beautiful architectures from the past. this is a good example of a well done job. It is always nice to see century old designs preserved and re-invigorated. In this case, it allows to have a better appreciation of the closeness of the administration with... More

This little square lies between the Toledo cathedral, the town hall and the Archbishop's palace. While the square itself is not that interesting nor unique, it does allow some wonderful views of the cathedral.

Once the former capital of Hispaniola and Castille De Lamancha , this town is just breathtaking. Imagine yourself walking the route of the fictional Don Quixote. Well Yiu... More
