A big surprise . This place is so big. You can eat there but we took a picnic. To do this place justice it takes a full day so arrive early. The area is a sight of open cast mining and they have done an awesome job creating this natural and cruelty free animal environment . My sons had their... More

The tour is very busy in the peak holiday times. But well worth visiting plenty of picnic areas. Even a baby gorilla

Amazing landscape with rocks which burst out the ground. Wonderful big enclosures for the animals who are well looked after. Great range of animals and was amazed by the huge bear enclosure set against an amazing cliff backdrop the Gorillas were also fantastic. Well worth 50 euros for both of us.

The park is fantastic. Fantastic places, views and landscapes. All is kept clean and cured. The 2 stars are just for this. But for the rest, it is completely disorganized ! No signals that could orientate the tourist in choosing one route rather than another. Moreover there was no staff for asking Infos. We thought that we could do the... More

As for your comment, we would like to explain some details: - There is not one route to visit the Park; each visitor chooses the one he likes using the map given at the entrance , the App on their mobile phone, on just asking at the information... Cabarceno Nature Park is mainly a large-scale zoo, where animals live in ample enclosures (compared to regular zoos). The park is located in a extremely beautiful location. You move through the park by car, following signaled routes that take you to the enclosures of the different animals. If you travel with kids, it is definitely worth the visit, and it... More

My brother who lives in Spain took myself, my husband and our two girls (6 and 2) to Cabarceno Nature Park. We had a great day, although it is very high up therefore you cannot underestimate the effects of the sun and we bought the girls caps to protect them from the sun. The views are amazing up amongst the... More

Based upon roaring reviews on trip advisor , I went there today - mid July - it was hot - about 28 degrees. First disappointment - or misunderstanding - it is not a safary park by a long way, but a zoo with (big) cages/confinement spaces where you drive around from parking to parking. Plenty of visitors - as me... More

Hello Johan, First of all let us thank you for your opinion on Cabárceno. As you say, it is not a safari park but a nature park were animals live in semiliberty: big areas and restricted human intervention (only medical care an feeding). It is true that, on hot days, animals may not be easy to see, as they look... More

Nice views and good animals care. Incredible 'Rapaces' show. Careful with weather... Too much sun could do a tired visit. Don't forget umbrellas and caps...just in case :) You can take your own food and use the space for it inside the park. We ate in the restaurant near rapaces side. The 'albondigas de la abuela' was quite good. Do... More

I had never even heard of Cabarceno Nature Park until I arrived in Santander, so glad I found out about it as in my opinion it is an unmissable place to visit if you are in Northern Spain. Its not cheap to get in, from memory around €24 per person, but it is well worth every penny as it is... More
