Especially for tourists! This is a must go! Maybe not if you are a younger family as there is a lot of walking and the sun gets a bit much for kids, but if you are a couple deffo find a day to do this. Must see!

We traveled to the national park as a family of four. We didn't intend to go to the national park but to get to our destination (which was el Teide) we had to go threw it. The views where absolutely beautiful and it gave u the perfect view of the volcano and the lava rock that spilled down. There was... More

We visited Parque Nacional Las Canadas del Teide on the island of Tenerife as a ship excursion (Royal Caribbean) The cone of Mount Teide rises above the volcanic pillars and craters. The 12,000-ft. summit of this active volcano is the highest point in Spain and its islands. Teide was a sacred mountain to the aboriginal Guanches. The Guanches believed that... More

We are very glad to have made the effort to go up the mountain on the cable car to see the view from El Teide. There are several walks to do once up there but we did only a short walk further. The drive up was also very scenic with several vista points to stop and take plenty of photos.... More

It was a long drive to get to the cable car but the views were amazing. Its a long way up so be prepared to be breathless.

We went to Tenerife for a winter sun break and I had not expected to do much, other than lounge by the hotel pool for most of the week. I had read about the attractions on the island but didn't think much of it. We did decide to do an afternoon trip up to the volcano, not expecting much really.... More

The scenery is different from other mountains as the volcano is still an active one. There are some part with no trees at all but you can still see butterflies. It feels like you are on Mars which is pretty cool. However at the cable car parking, our car was burgled. Despite the beautiful scenery this ruined the day for... More

The road up to Teide was closed due to the extreme snow they had last December, so we couldn't get to the cable car - which was closed anyway. However, the rest of the park is fantastic, with a wide variety of scenery, a few little villages with restaurants dotted around and all within a day's drive from anywhere on... More

Was an absolutely phenomenal opportunity to see several volcanos in tenerife, as well as the natural beauty of the island from above the cloud line, 3780ft above water level. Highly suggest this excursion to anyone who visits the island. My original hypothesis was that above the cloud line, nothing but desolate nothingness existed, now i know this is positively untrue.

We decided to rent a car and explore the island. The Tiede National Park was in our plans and is a must when visiting Tenerife. The Tiede is the highest peak in Spain. We spent hours driving and stopping at the many view points and took hundreds of beautiful photographs. The park and roads are well maintained and the people... More
