I first went to see Mount Teide 30-odd years ago, in the days when you could take the cable car then scramble up a loose path with no fencing to stand on the very tip of the volcano. I believe that's no longer possible but there's still so much to take the breath away in the ancient caldera that is... More

it's been some time now since my last visit there, but it's unforgettable. great views. We took cable car and it was a great choice. you will find some crowd out there, but not too much. If you have enough time try to take a ride around Teide - it looks different from South and North. I just regret i... More

You need to be a good traveller to do this as the roads are steep and very arrow and wind round with lots of hairpin bends. The trees and flowers are lovely and I guess it changes dependant of the time of year you visit, you go above the clouds so really good views. The are areas completely dead because... More

I loved the cable car ride, and the view at the top, one thing though to remember is this if the weather is not good the cable car will not be open, but the is still a lot to see at ground level, its much cooler at the top so take warm clothing, inven if its roasting hot at ground... More

Hired a car and set off from sea level you look up and see nothing but cloud up the long and winding road from Puerto and through the cloud fabulous but hot is not the word hot hot hot.The road not for the faint hearted but worth the effort, varied vegetation but the higher you go the more barren, good setting for... Like being in another planet. Once you reach the highest you can, you feel like walking in another age, or planet. This is the real must of Tenerife. Noboey should leave the island without going.

Shame on you if you go all the way to Tenerife and miss out on visiting the Teide Park and getting up close and personal with the 3rd highest volcano in the world.Firstly, the drive up is amazing, and the scenery is spectacular-all the more so when you're looking DOWN on clouds(and you're not in a plane!)It's so interesting driving through all... We went by coach leaving about 5pm after collecting more people we then started our journey. It was amazing scenery as we started to climb. We stopped off at a restaurant for a very nice meal, where wine was also made, then we climbed aboard the coach again. We were above the clouds and it was breathtaking. As the evening... More

Me and my partner are in our 20s and we found the Teide to be extremely beautiful! We went here on a half day trip which cost 20 euros each! We then found half day trips to be cheaper if brought from playa de las Americas! We were picked up on time from our hotel at 9am on an air... More
