Love this beach, showers, loos and changing rooms - no need to struggle under your towel. Red flag and life guard so you know when it is too rough.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Playa Jardin. The waves are wonderful to watch and the surroundings/plants are well maintained and attractive. We didn't swim or even paddle but it was fun watching others from the cafe next to the beach. The toilets are clean but you need a small coin as a donation which is fair enough.

it was a nice beach. Lovely sand, nice atmosphere. A few families, couples. I was solo, but felt safe and peaceful. There is a lovely pathway/park next to the beach to walk along, which is very pleasant. No loud music from the nearby bar, so it's relaxing. I would recommend this beach.

Best beach in the vicinity. Although the waves are very powerful. I tried to walk in looking cool, and got turned upside down.... but great fun. Kids are entertained, and its nice and clean. If you time it right you get a fashion show as well :)

There are 3 parts to the beach, the one nearest to Loro Parque was the best,as it's all sand, the other 2 parts had rocks that you needed to walk over to get to the water. The waves are quite big, even when you think you've mastered the surf, it can knock you off your feet so perhaps not the... More

We enjoyed this beach it was clean there are some rocks but not too many. The black sand is amazing. Wear suncream even on cloudy days, I didn't feel hot but I got burnt :( The bar on the beach is not expensive you can get a drink or ice cream without breaking the bank

we have been 2 days on Playa Jardin, and in my opinion this is the nicest beach in Puerto de la Cruz. The beach is large, sand in black but it is nice, no rocks on the beach and not in the water, and the waves are amazingly high, The boys enjoyed it! I can recommend on the beach, the... More

Beautiful long beach with the hottest black sand I've ever seen. It's not super hot all the time, but in a very sunny day you might want to wear your flip flops. There is everyday quite a lot of people there, but if you're not shy you can find place for yourself. Beautiful place for a evening walk. Lots of... More

As with most of the beaches on the island the sand is black and very gritty so we tended to wander in the gardens behind where there was some shade. Lots of lizards geckos etc and a fair number of colourful birds
