wonderful watching the sea crashing in, plenty of facilities eateries, toilets etc. Walk off the far end and you are in an old area of tenerife with little alleys that lead to houses right above the sea, Tapas bars and cafes and Loro park

Chain of splendid black sand beaches - best on Tenerife with half mile walk with cafes. The ocean is warm even in February for exhilarating swimming

Sunbeds available for 3 Euros each, black sands, a sea that could be dramatic and exciting one moment and calm an placid the next. A beach side café [we didn't use] is available and there are toilet!! Ideal for us to do some totty watching.

Has black volcanic sand, easier to wash off than some yellow sand. It is set in lovely gardens. Great for body boarding but if you aren't a really good swimmer just paddle or enjoy the beach.

Lovely spot. Large area of beach with black sand - which takes a bit of getting used to! Umbrellas and sun beds available for hire. Behind the beach is a garden area - hence the name - whch also has a small children's play area. Nice prom to walk along with a bandstand ( not in use when I visited)... More

we liked the shelter from the wind, the excellent service in the cafe and the peace and quiet to enjoy the winter sunshine (between the showers)

We usually stay on the other side of Puerto Cruz and don't venture this far west but I'm glad we did. There are three volcanic beaches and the third one is large and stone free so a little kinder under foot! There is a lower and upper paved walkway lined with nice trees and shrubs. Very much worth the walk... More
