We enjoyed this beach it was clean there are some rocks but not too many. The black sand is amazing. Wear suncream even on cloudy days, I didn't feel hot but I got burnt :( The bar on the beach is not expensive you can get a drink or ice cream without breaking the bank

we have been 2 days on Playa Jardin, and in my opinion this is the nicest beach in Puerto de la Cruz. The beach is large, sand in black but it is nice, no rocks on the beach and not in the water, and the waves are amazingly high, The boys enjoyed it! I can recommend on the beach, the... More

Beautiful long beach with the hottest black sand I've ever seen. It's not super hot all the time, but in a very sunny day you might want to wear your flip flops. There is everyday quite a lot of people there, but if you're not shy you can find place for yourself. Beautiful place for a evening walk. Lots of... More

As with most of the beaches on the island the sand is black and very gritty so we tended to wander in the gardens behind where there was some shade. Lots of lizards geckos etc and a fair number of colourful birds

This is a romantic beach for watching the sunset and the sea. or just walk there as there is also a beautiful garden just near the beach. Or take a sunbath on the beach. Walk all the way until the little village Punta Brava that is at the end of the beach. There is a nice little path just beside... More

We loved this beach and went many times throughout our stay. Beware the black sand gets really really hot. The seas quite rough so take care of little ones that want to play in the sea. It has a out door cafe and the prices are really good. Definitely recommend this beach. Also on a clear day the volcano are... More

The sand was very unusual. It was black and gritty, so it was not only painful on your feet, but the sand was mega hot and seemed to heat up my flip flops too! Entry to the sea was slightly painful on the feet too with the pebbles, but once you get past it and swimming, the sea is lovely... More

This beach has stunning black sand. There are walkways, trees, and landscaping behind the beach. Nice place for a walk or to hang out.

if you can live with the usual cannery island volcanic ash beaches then this will pass muster, just be careful of the tides and waves they are pretty strong on this beach..
