This a romantic beach jus 2-3 kilometers from centre of the Puerto. It is not good to swim there but you can take a sun baths. And the walking tour through the banana valley is so beautiful! Take a big bottle of water and something to eat with you.

Hard to find, located in the end of very narroe one way road. Beautiful place, but it was too crowded... Maybe because of the weekend. You can visit it if you're passing by.

Take a walk along the coast east from PDLC. From the Lido follow the road out of the resort - alongside the tunnel and go up the hill, walking up the hard shoulder of the main road. At the top bend go down small steps and this takes you to a path in a banana plantation - follow the paths... More

The walk to Bollullo from Puerto and La Paz is a delightful stroll and is paved most of the way through a banana plantation and is now proving to be one of the most popular walks in the area. The beach is also accessible by car so there are usually quite a few sunbathers on the black sand. The rolling... More

Bollullo beach is a secluded black sand beach in a cove. It's a bit of a walk, as others have said, but it's worth it. The sea is powerful here, so not for swimming, but the waves are magnificent! The cafe sells drinks and snacks. The toilets are primitive, but are better than nothing!

very long walk to get there - not great in the heat. however, the beach was lovely and much better than others we visited in the area. 1 bar serving food and drinks but the toilet was horrendous - take some hand gel and your own tissues. i would also recommend taking your own food and drink and just getting... A nice beach with a soft and dark sand but sea is there rough good for surfers. So one must be careful while swimming, the currents or waves can be too strong. Unfortunately the beach is about one hour walk from Puerto de la Cruz downtown but still worth of walking so far away. This is the beach where you... More

An interesting walk along the coast/banana plantations takes you to Bollullo, where there as a great cafe with typical canarian meal of the day. When you approach the beach don't look over the wall - where it seems half of Tenerife have thrown their rubbish. Go down to the beach and watch the waves crashing in - wonderful

Bollullo is about 20minutes 'walk' from La Paz through the banana plantation, down the baranco, up again, past the restaurante and down to the first beach there the bar provides cold beer and generous sandwiches. The sand is Black and Hot, the surf can be dangerous, but the situation warrants the effort. If you are really adventurous carry on another 10... More

Of course this is quite a stunning location and worth the long walk. There is another beach on from it which sadly is a little bit inaccessible as the path has collapsed. Still worth going on foot just to esperience the Tenerife countryside
