A somewhat cryptic route to the beach, and the last long stretch of road is only one lane. The Bollullo restaurant at the end of the road serves a delicious paella with 'Meeresfrüchte' (you have to wait for 45 minutes while this 'dish for two' is cooked). The restaurant has a parking lot, but the gate is closed with a... More

Playa Bollullo is a relatively secluded beach that is reached by a walk (or drive) through banana plantations, and then a walk down a footpath to the beach itself. The sand is dark/black volcanic sand, and I still find that unusual enough to be appealing. The fish "beach" you come to is rocky, and then after a rock outcropping, there... More

No service, no emergency crew, rocks and strong waves. You must be very experienced to take a swim there.

You can either walk from Puerto de la Cruz (45-60 minutes walk from city centre), take a taxi (appx. 10 euro) or go by your own car and park near the beach (1.50 euro for whole day parking). Beach is situated among high cliffs, with lifeguard watch. The black sand is spotless and only a few rocks on the beach... More

This a romantic beach jus 2-3 kilometers from centre of the Puerto. It is not good to swim there but you can take a sun baths. And the walking tour through the banana valley is so beautiful! Take a big bottle of water and something to eat with you.

Hard to find, located in the end of very narroe one way road. Beautiful place, but it was too crowded... Maybe because of the weekend. You can visit it if you're passing by.

Take a walk along the coast east from PDLC. From the Lido follow the road out of the resort - alongside the tunnel and go up the hill, walking up the hard shoulder of the main road. At the top bend go down small steps and this takes you to a path in a banana plantation - follow the paths... More

The walk to Bollullo from Puerto and La Paz is a delightful stroll and is paved most of the way through a banana plantation and is now proving to be one of the most popular walks in the area. The beach is also accessible by car so there are usually quite a few sunbathers on the black sand. The rolling... More

Bollullo beach is a secluded black sand beach in a cove. It's a bit of a walk, as others have said, but it's worth it. The sea is powerful here, so not for swimming, but the waves are magnificent! The cafe sells drinks and snacks. The toilets are primitive, but are better than nothing!

very long walk to get there - not great in the heat. however, the beach was lovely and much better than others we visited in the area. 1 bar serving food and drinks but the toilet was horrendous - take some hand gel and your own tissues. i would also recommend taking your own food and drink and just getting...
