A lot of the previous reviews in this section are mainly about the Hotel Los Gigantes (for which my review is already on the right page). This is about the resort. The full name of the resort is Acantilados de Los Gigantes (The Giants' Cliffs) after the cliffs which form the backdrop to the resort. It's expanded over the years... more

Los Gigantes is a very quiet location, with few amenities and a very small beach, so of an evening there are no walks along the beach to take and the majority of the shops all close early, not that there are many in this resort, so your only option is to find a pleasant bar, of which there are a... more

We've just returned from another great holiday in Los Gigantes (we're a family with 2 small toddlers) and would highly rate it for anyone looking for a quieter, family oriented location for their holidays. There's no pumping nightlife, late night raucous bars, drunken teenagers staggering about the streets. Instead you'll find a good range of low-key bars and restaurants -... more

The Los Gigantes Hotel is a nice place with just a few little niggles. It is very comfortable and has plenty of areas to relax including a first floor terrace, gardens and so on. The indoor lounges are very pleasant with lots of deep sofas and chairs. Generally speaking the staff are very good although the waiters in the restaurant... more

The marina in Los Gigantes is great for a relaxing drink or meal watching the boats coming and going, but beward of peak periods, it becomes very busy and noisy. Try the cake shop on the hill fantastic!! more

We are 22 and 25 and visited Los Gigantes in November 2003 and found it to be a very quiet picturesque place with not much to do and few amenities. It seems that the village exists for the sole purpose of tourism and has no indigenous population and therefore no local culture to experience. However, there is a nice clean... more

Los Gigantes has always been the quiet cousin of the big bustling resorts in the south of Tenerife, but things are beginning to change, there is a huge amount of building work going on in the area, One particular monstrosity is being built at the top of "Cardiac Hill", having said that, central los Gigantes is still the sleepy, picturesque... more

Holiday 18 July - 1st August. Temperatures varied between 26 and 40 degrees. Married couple with daughters aged 12 & 14. Resort a pleasant place to stay, bu due to the hilly nature would recommend that you need to be fairly fit and would envisage that anyone with walking difficulties would find it a bit difficult getting around. All of... more
