Apparently this hamlet was originally reached by steps until a local Mayor fell to his death whereupon a road was constructed to Masca Hidden Hamlet. The new road has a good surface to drive on albeit very narrow and meanders around the contours of the mountains/valley. Not an easy drive and the lack of avenues of escape if larger vehicles... Lived in and visited Tenerife many times during 20 year or more. Masca's as an attraction does not disapear or change less interesting in any way. Whenever you visit Masca, you will feel very small in this hugh canyon. I have never walked down the valley to the sea as I enjoy it every time from the magnific small willlage... More

We did the Masca Valley trek as part of a convention. It was incredible for those up to it and with proper shoes--- hiking boots are highly recommended. In our case we were driven to the top... An exciting drive on really narrow roads! We hiked down and it took 3 hours. The scenery is fantastic as you wind your... More

One of the highlights of our holiday inTenerife. The drive through the Masca Valley is spectacular with dramatic scenery and beautiful coastal views. The drive along a narrow road is very interesting with plenty of hairpin bends and passing places - this is a route to savour and not rush as slow progress is the norm. The village of Masca... More

What an amazing beautiful place! The roads to get there are exceptionally steep and full of hairpin bends but adds to the excitement. We went in a hire car and enjoyed the views and spent a couple of hours in the village. Although only a small place with a couple of gift shops/cafés it is worth doing.

We dropped on this particular excursion when we were buying tickets for Siam Park and it actually turned out to be the best trip we went on. For roughly £35-45, you'll get collected from your hotel, driven to one of the islands highest points (you stop here and can rent things such as walking boots for 3 euros if your... More

The trecking in Masca valley was the best thing of our trip ti Tenerife. The landscapes there are just amazing! The path can be a bit demanding even on your way down, but we saw people going up, too. It takes about 4 hours to get to the final point, and there is a great beach waiting for you there.... More

Great walk to the secluded beach but take plenty of water on a hot day. Great views of the volcanic cliffs and rock faces.
