Took a bus tour with "jesus tours" was very glad someone else was doing the driving Definitely not a tour for people who are afraid of heights as it is quite daunting. We had a great driver & tour guide. Bring a camera for the most wonderful scenery. Its a long tour with many interesting stops. Would recommend . We... More

We drove to Masca via Santiago del Teide and the TF82 road and it is quite an exciting (and scarey) journey as it consists of narrow 2 way roads with sheer drops, little space for cars to pass each other and lots of hairpin bends! How those coaches do it we'll never know.... There is little parking when you arrive... More

Just back from a trip to Tenerife and must mention Masca, it was our second visit there and we enjoyed it more second time round. It was quieter and no big coaches, only the smaller versions. We also enjoyed some local food which was very reasonable considering the remote location. Photos can't do this justice, you need to see it.!

The Masca valley is absolutely stunning. The drive is very exciting as well, as the road is very winding, and very narrow. There is hardly any place to pass, and it is not a one-way road! But the views and the small village are absolutely worth the effort!

The view through the gorge is incredible! It was a very fun day and we took lots of pictures. Hiking shoes and 1L of water per person are a must - this is a downhill hike on big rocks, occasionally crossing small ponds; it is very fun to do, but having the right equipment makes all the difference. We took... More

Absolutely breath-taking scenery! A must see in Tenerife. Endless volcanic peaks framed by the ocean with interesting greenery. Stopped at a very nice village terraced against the mountains scenery. Witnessed a helicopter rescue of a hiker. Looks like challenging hiking opportunities. The curving mountainous roads were a little exciting with barely room for two cares and very winding but the... We enjoyed the journey on all those hairpin bends but could not find anywhere to park in Macsa, so just drove slowly through it. Glad we had had lunch at Hilda, at the top of the hill down from the north. Looked good, but as in several other places in Tenerife there is not enough parking

The drive to Masca is not for the faint-hearted...hairpin bends and steep narrow roads! I am considered a wimp in my family (don't like steep drops, heights any extreme sports.. danger - that's me!) But even I got used to it...after a while..and my husband loved driving it.We met a car with a burnt out clutch on the way to Masca... More

A rather strenuous walk (at least at an age of 69) of approx. 4 hours (incl. rests) starting at a small village (Masca) which only recently has become accessible by road, a hike about 600 m downhill to sea level along a narrow, well marked trail. Back to Los Gigantos by boat (reserve in advance). Be fit, wear boots, bring... More
