Great walk to the secluded beach but take plenty of water on a hot day. Great views of the volcanic cliffs and rock faces.

The drive to Masca is an absolute must. The road is so narrow that one has to give way for the buses and hope for the best! There are many view points with incredible views of the mountains. An engineering marvel! There are a number of restaurants in this small village. We loved it!

The village of Masca is tiny, hardly a village by any typical definition. It only became accessible by road in the 1970s. But it has several restaurants, and a small car park that serve tourists well. The road in is, as many have commented, steep and twisting. But the "busses" you may meet are of the mini variety, no 11m... More

It's a hiker's paradise. The 3 hour hike down to the ocean is said to be challenging but worthwhile. We just walked around the village a bit to get the feel of it. We are glad we went.

Masca is a village in a valley in the North West of Tenerife. It is difficult to get there by road as it bends, twists, goes up and down like a yoyo and is very narrow. But once you get there the it is well worth it. There are bars and restaurants, walks, little stalls where people sell things they... More

This is a must do if you are hiring a car on your visit. Stunning views and driving the road is an experience, as was reversing back up to let a bus past (wife had white knuckles). You can walk down to the sea but leave a good few hours if you want to do that.

I took my 6 year old on a "Daddy Daughter" day out and we enjoyed it. Starting off from Costa Adeje, we headed to Santiago del Teide and found the most direct route to Masca was shut for road works ! This meant a detour via Buenavista del Norte and a very, very windy road. We stopped at various times... More

Bit of a hairy drive, but well worth it. The village is so pretty and the surrounding scenic views are wonderful. We went to the furthest restaurant (can't remember the name) on recommendation from someone we met on the way down, had the worst meal ever, however the cafe on the hill was superb (should have eaten there I think),,... We went up & up & up, most of the way was a very twisty small road then the last bit was a single track road. The views at the top are very picturesque but for me the journey didn't make it worthwhile and I couldn't wait to get down again.
