Going here will be a memory that will stay with you forever. First of all, driving to Masca is short in kilometers from the main road, but it takes some time because you have to drive slow on the new nice roads, but they have a LOT of curves. I was so scared. In the "old days" (not so old)... More

Masca is a beautiful small village with around 600 people living there. The area itself is really difficult to get to as the roads are small and windy and often on the edge of a cliff. You have to drive very slow as many buses and cars come speeding round corners. The village itself is one of the most beautiful... More

Even if you only go by car and stop and take a walk through the village you will see and enjoy amazing nature. And the road from Santiago del Teide (TF-436) to the valley is a sort of adventure, too.

This is an awesome hike with guides who really enjoy their work. So first, anyone who attempts Masca must not underestimate the hike yet it is a true pitty not to see what the place itself has to give to those who can undertake the challenge. The team of SunHolidays is really friendly, prepared and professional. Price of the tour?... More

The walk from Masca down through the Valley is excellent but by no means a stroll, you need to be reasonably active to enjoy this. The guides are very good at showing all the varieties of wildlife and vegetation and detailing the history, oh and the scenery is stunning. The ride to Masca by coach is a little hairy but... More

No so easy to find such a picturesque place in whole World! Really beautiful village placed on the top of the mountain, surrounded with even higher peaks around. A must to visit while on Tenerife!

A few years ago we hired a car and went all round the island and eventually stopped on the road looking down the long snaking road in to Masca. So I chickened out, no way was I driving down there in a hired car. This year we did the bus tour and it took about 25 minutes to descend and... More

No wander it's a top must visit place when in tenerife. Lots of walkers in evidence around this very scenic location. Whether you are a walker or just want to take in the view it's well worth the " hairy" trip. It must be worse for uk drivers not used to gauging car widths whilst driving on the wrong side... More

This literally is part of hidden Tenerife and a total contrast to the bustling crowded sea side resorts along the south coast. I couldn't drive the mountain roads down to Masca but loved the organised tour with Thompsons. The guide gave so much fascinating information about the history of the area and the views are out of this world. There are... More
