A visit to Teide is essential, if you're on Tenerife. As a demonstration of the raw power of Mother Nature and a place for stunning views, you'd find it hard to beat anywhere. Yes, the cable car is expensive (£20+ for a round trip), and it doesn't take you all the way to the top. To go the last hundred... more

It pains me to think people would go to Tenerife on a package holiday and never leave the beach/pool/hotel and see this park. Hire a car or take a bus tour. Great scenery, especially on a sunny day. And it's free to enter the park and drive around. The cable car to the top (well, almost the top) is expensive... more

I cannot understand how people can go to Tenerife year after year and not to go this park or go up Mount Teide. I have never been somewhere so incredible, you feel like you're on the set of a star wars film as you travel through the park. Going up the vocano itself was again completely and utterely stunning! You must go there, can see the amathing view. Easy to drive. Many view point to stop and take photos. I recomend to drive up there on sunny day with blue sky. Prepare the jacket and walking shoes. In the snow season, the loapway doesn't work. more

If you have the chance to go on the trip to Mount Teide at night then don't miss it. Champagne at sunset, an excellent 4 course meal with wine and stargazing with a qualified astronomer. The jeeps take you through the mountains and little villages and you even stop at a cafe halfway up. It is a little expensive but... more

A must visit trip when visiting Tenerife,Fantastic scenery and great views of La Gomera,Star wars and various other movies filmed on location here, and you can see why,Dont forget your camera. more

Well as we were travelling up towards the mountain we saw lots of weird and wonderful vegetations and plant life. Then when we arrived and were ready to board the Cable Car we were so excited and took back by the incredible view, it was breathtaking. Fantastic day out, brilliant views of all of the islands. An experience that we will never forget.Get there early - before lunch if you can as the queues build up. Wear sensible walking shoes. If you want to go all the way to the top you have to get a permit brfore you get there. Take something warm to wear... more

We were in Tenerife in 1999. Pico del Teide National Park was the number one sight there. The parking places on the road gave us a chance to amaze the wonderful panorama on the ocean.
