We hadn't thought much about visiting the mountain at the top of Tenerife but we had a car so why not. The road upon was exciting in itself, narrow and winding with magnificent views around every corner. We stopped several times for photo's and the view, it was 23c when we started and 9c by the time we crossed the... More

It really is a breath taking experience as you take in the views and the height. Make sure you wrap up as its cold and I felt dizzy because of the height and lack of oxygen.

Obtaining the Pico del Teide access permit using the "Telesforo Bravo Trail" (Nr. 10 in the Park Network), the only one which connects La Rambleta (3,555 m) with the summit (3,717.98 m). This route is done on foot. Even if you used the cableway to reach La Rambleta, following this route is considered to be a separate activity. The permit... More

We hired a car and drove around Teide, circumnavigating the peak - a great trip. There are lots of small pull over places, with maps and explanatory information boards. The trip was well worth while

It is an absolute beautiful drive, many places to hike, and stop to take pictures. Rent a car and spend the day meandering through the lovely landscapes. We brought bottles of water and snacks and had a wonderful time.

If you are going here, don't go by coach, it takes too long and you can't cram everything in. To drive here takes around an hour, but its worth it. The valley at the foot of Teide is naturally rainbow, with impressive rock formations. When we went, it was 23 degrees in las americas, but -4 degrees at the top!!... More

Is awesome but it's better to visit it in spring months because is not as cold as it is on winter or as hot as in Summer but is worth it to visit it on winter because is always full of snow is awesome.

We were told how wonderful this trip was by our Thomson rep. It cost 75 Euros each. We set off about 2.30pm to pick up form numerous hotels. The drive up through the national park was very good with plenty of stops at viewing places. We then stopped at a café for 35mins with nothing to see at all. We... More
