You can see it from everywhere in the island. Huge and majestic. then, when you start climbing it, you feel sometimes like walking on the moon: only rocks around you, nothing else. But once you ae on the top the view is simply breathtaking, you can easily see the ancient caldera, most of the island, almost all the archipelago.. and... More

Visited as part of a day trip around the island and possibly the stand out part of the day. We couldn't go to the very top as the cable car wasn't available due to winds at the top so check before making the journey. Fantastic views and scenery - breathtaking.

Rent a car, drive yourself, and spend a day or two. Don't take a tour company as you will not have enough time to view this beautiful landscape. I rented a car for $30 for a day and a half and it allowed me to drive all over the volcano. Beautiful views on the way up, and even more at... More

I had the misfortune of being ill the night before so I was very tired the next day. Unfortunately I fell asleep and missed some of the commentary. I was most looking forward to cable cars as I'd never been on one before but unfortunately the wind stopped that from happening but we did get refunded. The trip consisted of... More

The dormant volcano location is so nice that it is almost surreal to see for the first time the areas where volcanic ash and lava have flown.. We wanted to use the cable car to go to the mouth of the volcano.. but due the wind speed, we were not able to go on that day.. in my next trip,... More

The best way to see this is to drive up to the volcano, scary though cracking road trip depending how you feel about heights.... there are many organised coach tours.. and apparently there is a very limited local bus that will take you there and back.. To reach the lip of the volcano/you have to complete the rest of the... More

We hoped to take the cable car to the top of Mount Teide during our recent visit to the National Park. However, on arriving at the Visitor Centre we realised that we were unlikely to do so due to several factors. Parking is a nightmare. We managed to get a space some way down the roadside as from the queues... More

Excellent trekking not to be missed. I would just like to write about my trekking experience of Pico del Teide and help with the most economical way to travel and access the peak. The first issue is the mountain pass, if you wish to trek to the peak you must apply online for a pass before you arrive at the... More

We visited during the August school holidays and it was very busy. Fortunately, we had hired a car and made our own way there and arrived just after opening time. We managed to park on the access road and only had to queue for a very short time before we boarded the cable car. The views were stunning and both... More

This was my fourth visit to Teide but the first time I have been able to go up to the summit in the cable car (on all previous visits the cable car was not running due to wind or some other problem). We arrived by car fairly early but car parking was a nightmare - there is limited parking and... More
