You often take what you see for granted. Going to see this tallest spot in Spain... stops any complacency. Beauty of a natural form, stark and utterly yet seemingly unbelievable. Rugged, yet gentle in the flow and oh, the shapes and colours and the utterly wonderful views and sometimes impossible scenery We loved it! Take care its at quite an altitude... More

Had a good visit We drove there by car it was very difficult to park. This was because we went in the morning . Lots of coaches and very long queues for the cable car. About 2 hour queue. Go in the afternoon if you can. Be prepared for it to be cold at the top and you will get... More

There were many tours going here but my husband and I decided to explore it ourselves and take a car. Having the freedom on a car was great here as we idn't have time limits and we were able to stop at lots of places throughout. Hiking / walks were great, but it can be chilly so be prepared and... We were planning to take the cable card to the top and arrived there at five a clock just to find out that the last trip was at four a clock.

Visited on a bus trip from Los Cristianos. Excellent trip but we visited in March and needed warm clothes. Temperature was at least 10 degrees lower in the volcano compared to the beach. Got a bargain price for the trip by booking it outside of the hotel.

Visiting a dormant volcano probably isn't high on many people's list but this is definitely worth it. We went on a guided bus tour with Atlantico Excursions, and the guide and tour were very good. El Teide itself towers above the island and most people definitely need to go up it by cable car. The wait to go on the... More

We went with Viajes Tide travel agents near to the Adeje Gran hotel. Christopher, the guide was tri-lingual and was very informative about the area we were travelling through. The scenery is spectacular on the way to the mountain, but when you get out of the cable car near the summit you can see for miles on a clear day.... More

If you're not fit and young enough to climb up or down the Teide than don't! We took cable car and it was totally worth it! But we experienced helicopter rescue where one older man broke his leg when climbing down the volcano. So if you are not 110% sure you can do it all the way than don't! Sightseeing... More

We went on the evening coach trip. This was very good. The sunset and stars were fantastic. The guide was very knowledgeable. The restaurant for dinner was good but there was no choice of food. However there was fish for those who pre booked. They have a fantastic real log fire burning needed to warm you up! It does get... More
