Just returned from an amazing trip to El Teide. What spectacular views from the summit, its well worth the drive up and the views on the way are amazing too, there are a lot of viewing points so leave enough time to stop and take photos. We weren't sure what time to go as the local tourist centres said the... More

This is one of the few places you should travel to solely for the views. We drove 2 hours one-way from Garachico on narrow, winding, at times ludicrous roads to get to El Teide, and it was entirely worth the drive. Just one thing I wasn't expecting - this is Spain's highest mountain, and when you get to the top... More

We haven't had the chance to get to the top as we went there with the car and didn't knew much about the facilities. but the road to get there was enjoyable and once you pass through all these forests and cliffs and rocks and small villages you can see the stunning Tiede. Just beautiful. Thank you Tenerife.

Nice view, cable car is taking you up, it was a bit windy and cold so you need to be dressed well & warm. You can buy ticket on line which helps you to avoid a long line. If you are in tenerife you need to go up to El Teide.

First things first, either rent a car and drive up, it's seriously simples. Or get a trip up- but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE check with them two things, otherwise this lovely trip will turn into the road to hell!! This is what happened to us by using Tenerife Tickets Excursions which we booked through our hotel. So some quick things for... More

We've climbed on the Teide Mount just from the parking we left our car. There is also lift you can choose. The day was very sunny and weather was just beautiful. A must while you are on Tenerife!

The volcano is a beauty, the tough nature time, but astonishing. There are several ways to get there. 1. You can take a tour bus that takes you to the point where teleferico, which is the cable car, can lift you almost to the highest point. The bus will need about an hour or slightly more to get to Teleferico.... More

We booked to go from our hotel at the beginning of the week when it was overcast. The combined price for two of us was 100 euros. Fortunately we left very early and we were on the first cable car of the day. It was 0 degrees but the sun was shining and there was no cloud in site whilst... More

The mighty Mount Teide, highest mountain in the whole of Spain, is a real tourist magnet. On the positive side, the cable car is efficient with well managed queues, and there's a cafe, shop and toilets at the bottom station. The views at the top are extensive on a clear day. On the negative side, this must be the only... More
