There are lots of different ways to experience this, we did a half day coach trip, which I felt was long enough, however, for some you may wish to explore more. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking, we walked around the national park for 2 hours and go the most amazing photographs, it really is spectacular, the mountains, volcanos, lava etc!... More

Check local weather reports as cable car not working due to strong winds, unfortunately we couldn't go up but there are loads of viewing stations to stop on drive up and take advantage of the beautifully scenery!

No it wasn't and that's why it was tame. But it's safe and if it hadn't been I wouldn't be writing this review. I liked the bubbling lava and the screams of the children as they were pushed off the cliff into the bubbling lava below to disappear under the surface with a hiss and a plop.

I visited this with my sister who had been before. We took the local bus from Puerto De la Cruz at 9.15am. Boarding was like a rugby scrum for a seat on the once a day bus. Once we got going it made two further stops and then straight to the 3 stops at the various levels of mount teide.... More

We visited Mount Teide last week and it was an incredible experience and the views take your breath away! It was a picturesque drive up to the cable car. However, when we arrived there at about midday, all car parks were full so I would recommend getting up there earlier so you can get a parking space quickly. We waited... More

We went with this company (their shop was in Playa Areana) All I can say is Mount Teide is lovely, we was meant to go on the Sunset and stars, don't be fooled like us, you wont manage to see the 'sunset' as they picked us up at 7.05 pm and continued to pick people up to quarter past nine,... More

My fiancé and I drove up the mountain (definitely worth doing, don't get a coach and take your time stopping at the photo points) and it was vey impressive. The landscape changes dramatically and it is beautiful to see. The volcano itself is very impressive and worth the price for the cable cars. It is mild weather up Teide so... More
