A relaxing and enjoyable few hours walking through the gardens. Very quiet with free entry. We parked at the bottom entrance and picked up some cold bottled water from a cafe over the road which kept us going in the heat. Very little information available about the plant life in the gardens, but it was a beautiful place with birds,... More

2 Things you need to know about these gardens. 1.The carpark is on top of the hillside and the gardens are at the bottom of a maze of winding and back switching stone steps. There is a gate on the lower level that most people seemed to use but if you are driving you will have to park on the... More

First of all before you plan your day here, take a picnic and plenty of drink and sun cream, and comfortable shoes..... there is a restaurant at the top of the park but its very pricey and there is a shop at the bottom across the road that seems to take advantage of the traveller as I paid 5 euro... The park has 2 entrances, higher up with parking and Restaurant and below just an gate with some curb parking options. There are wonderful plants and trees and lots butterfly's flying around in the lower section. There is also an small Waterfall The relative large area has sections according to the regions of the islands, which are marked well. We... More

A bit tricky to find, but find it we did! Fabulous site, and it really is enormous and spectacular. Each type of tree or plant is shown in a group, not as just one or two specimens. There are miles of walkways at various levels up the sides, but the main display is more or less on the level (slight... More

We never knew there were so many cactus varieties. We parked on the side of the road near the entrance to the bottom of the park . On entering there's a guide map on display - recommend going left to towards the nursery area and doubling back & going back & forth up to as high as you want to... More

I spent 5.5 hours in the garden walking all the many paths, eating lunch, looking at the various sections (cactus, pine trees, laurel trees, dragon trees, succulents, palms, bushes, ...). It is on a hillside, so there is some climbing involved. This is supposed to be the largest botanical garden in Spain. There is plenty of shade and the temperature... More

The grounds are huge and it takes forever to go from the start at the top to the foot of the mountain, (as most of the garden is in the valley) AND up again. We were there in Deember, which, even for Gran Canaria, is not the best time for flowers and plants.
