An amazing place to relax from the city and the noise. The entrance free garden is located outside of Las Palmas but easy to reach by car. The whole area is on a mountain and divided in several different garden sections like cactus garden, island garden, special tree areas and so on. We spend about 2 to 3 hours walking... More

There were signs of recent storm damage but plenty to see. We loved the giant cacti. The backdrop of the cliffs was spectacular.

First of all - it's completely free, and huge! You could send at least 4-5 hours here just exploring the different paths tough out the canyon wall. The paths on the canyon walls are amazing and reminds you of Madeira. The gardens themselves are good aswell with a rich variety of "Gardens" - like Archipelago Gardens, Sea Gardens and so... More

Built on the side of a cliff with criss crossing paths. Incredible variety of plants. At the bottom is the impressive cactus area and other themed areas.

This garden is really big and require some good physics as it is placed in a steep mountain side. Well worth it though, with thousands of different plants and trees. Bus 301 takes you almost to the gate. Free entrance and a good restaurant.

Wow.... Never knew this was here... Loved every minute walking around. Please note, the gardens are on a steep valley side which the pathes weave their way up and back down again so if you cannot walk on stoney pathways up steel hills then keep to the water gardens and cactus gardens, there is still plenty to see. Superb afternoon... More

Our visit here was on a pretty hot afternoon and that made it rather hard work, but we are glad that we persisted. The garden was established to conserve typical Canarian plants and it does that really well. It is quite a large garden and so unless you can be dropped off at the top entrance and picked up again... Set inside a courtyard, This was a lovely place to eat and take in the culture. The pueblo canario offers folk singing and dancing every Sunday too.

The Museum Nestor is well worth a visit for a nominal charge. The weekly Canarian Dancing on a Sunday is popular and vivacious.

Nice garden to spent an hour when travelling from village to village at Gran Canaria island. And it;s free, so don't complaint if you find any rubbish dropped by you, my dear tourist. Visit the cactus area, if you are in. And climb to the volcano cave for a nice view to the whole garden.
