This is the beach area where you want to be. Nice, beach, lots of good little beach bars and a nice feel. chairs and parasols are available for hire. Can be pretty crowded, but still good.

At first you'd think a beach is just a beach, right? But the more time you spend with this beach, the more it grows on you. I spent 2 weeks in January (ICE cold in Norway, beautiful in LP) jogging on the beach every morning. Just walking out in the streets barefoot (I lived 2 blocks away) and jogging on... More

This beach is just next to Las Palmas and thus may be easily accessed if you happen to be in the town. The sand is fine, the reefs make the ocean waters very calm, the beach is wide and long, so it doesn't really get too crowded. Just next to it you have a number of cafes, restaurants, icecream bars... More

Beautiful beach located close to the city center in Las Palmas in Santa Catalina area. Perfect for long walks on the boardwalk, and if the weather is good the beach is really nice to lay on. It could be a bit windy on occations and that makes is perfect for surfers also.

Took the hop on bus and got off at Canteras beach. Now admit weather wasn't brilliant, but beach only average. The whole area seemed down at heel and some very strange people around. Sea didnt look inviting either. Cafes ok.

This beach is long and clean. If you like to do something else than laying on the beach this is good place to jogging or just walking, even without shoes. Depending the time of the day, the beach can partly be under the water. This is also good place to play soccer or beach volley, there is room!
